LadyGinger -> Arrogance (10/6/2005 3:13:25 PM)

I sat reading a profile this evening.............you know the ones that pop up randomly when you click on the home page of this site.
I have to ask the fem subbies, do any of you actualy find this you can come talk me, but you must ask my permission to do first, posts from male so called Doms. In the least bit entertaining.

First how the hell can you message them to ask permission if you cant message them in the first place without thier permission?

Come on guys get real

EmeraldSlave2 -> RE: Arrogance (10/6/2005 3:50:35 PM)

I find a smidgen of arrogance to be a turn on.

But then I tend to be arrogant myself.

However, the arrogance I am turned on by tends to be the quiet, chuckling at inside jokes, cool calm gazes of steel intensity and simple overt knowledge that they KNOW they are too cool for this party.

Anyone who feels the need to ANNOUNCE they they are too cool for this party instantly proves they are not.

However, any arrogance can go too far and more than a few doms fall prey to Tops Disease.

Alexeiuk -> RE: Arrogance (10/6/2005 4:19:18 PM)

EmeraldSlave I can see your point about arrogance being a turn on but I find that true arrogance acts more as a turn off (for my self at least) I find that many people sometimes mistake some one being sure of them self’s as arrogance, but in my eyes there is a marked difference .

fastlane -> RE: Arrogance (10/6/2005 4:32:21 PM)

O.K....O.K.

I'll change my profile. Thankyour for bringing it to my attention. I was only trying to be cool...not too cool for the party.

What party, BTW?

The invitation did read, There's a party in someones mouth and everyone is coming...but no directions...I hate that!

smilezz -> RE: Arrogance (10/6/2005 5:34:11 PM)

If i have to ask permission to PM...E-mail...Chat with a particular person......then they are not the type of people i want to associate with in the first place. I would not walk up to a complete stranger and say: 'Pardon me: may i pm you? e-mail you? chat with you?' <rolls my eyes> I don't do the online chat bullshit like that....but that's just me.
I would however walk up to a complete stranger...make initial eye contact...smile and introduce myself. I do happen to be a people person/social butterfly...................and very much enjoy meeting people.

There is only One person important enough for me to ask permission from anyways.

Well stated.

.... That's what I call the self-righteous who are consumed in self-denial.

i've read many profiles like that. its like you have to ask permission to breathe around them let alone talk to them.

i dont think some have mastered the art of being confidant in themselves and just being arrogant and egotistical. And i think its one thing to have a little arrogance and still be polite and gentleman or ladylike about it, but when it starts getting on the demanding or rude side to strangers, its just annoying.

A lot of it is insecurity, I think. I've hung around many kinds of people in my life and one thing that's amazed me is how polite the truly powerful are. To me it's the difference between a big dog and a little one. Little dogs have to yap all the time so they don't get stepped on.

Snap.

I've been called 'un slave' like because I'm too arrogant!! [:D]

My Master is extremely arrogant at certain times and its a turn on.

I've wondered if it is part of their kink because I've noticed submissives who seem overly deferential and one even wrote me asking permission to send a note; perhaps those folks were meant to pair up. But I've also wondered if they're just clowns posing the way they think dominants are supposed to act and those submissives see it and then act the way they think they're suppsoed to.

I dunno what the explanation is, but I think such behavior is kinda silly and I do know they're not the sort of folks I'd like to be around.

sub4hire -> RE: Arrogance (10/7/2005 7:46:14 AM)

The real questioni is, why do you let these people have so much power over you that you allow them to infuriate you?

The person is a nobody, a nobody to many. As more and more people read the profile..the numbers will only increase. So why do you feel the need to debate it?

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Arrogance (10/7/2005 4:46:11 PM)

I have a friend who insists that the men ask permission to IM or start conversations via email with her......... To me, it's beyond unreasonable! OTOH, we get swamped with ickmail (she is some kind of magnet for ick, being a model-type beauty) and if they are willing to jump through that initial hoop, it's a first sign of sincerity.

I would really love to talk to the sub femmes about some of the profiles I have randomly read........ "I am looking for someone to do all the laundry, cooking, and cleaning, and give me a BJ whenever I want", is the gist of many of them. LOL! You don't need to be a kinky man to want those things, do you?

No, but for dominants it's not a matter of bartering for it, or sweet talking, it's a matter of ordering and obeying.

And that paragraph actually describes a good 80% of Ds relationships.

perverseangelic -> RE: Arrogance (10/7/2005 5:07:15 PM)

I get really curious about the "ask permision first" things.

Is an e-mail to ask permsion NOT an e-mail?

ce n'est pas un pipe.

Littlepita -> RE: Arrogance (10/8/2005 5:40:32 AM)

I'm so happy I've already found my Dom and have never had to go looking for one. What a big job that is for a submissive who looking for someone real. I enjoy reading the profiles. I find them entertaining for the most part and on occasion see one that looks to be from a real person that isn't too full of themselves.
