i agree , go slowwwwww. It took me over a year to find MasculineDom on here ( leaving his real name out for privacy). I talked to many , and made sure i submitted to none , because why submit in any form until you personally know that they are good for you , and have the same beliefs. i am owned but not collared yet. i personally think he is "the one" and hope it stays that way. my advice is go slow, proceed with caution , meet Dominants publically for coffee and talk, talk , talk. Communication and understanding are key to any successful relationship. quote:

ORIGINAL: EmeraldSlave2 I kinda agree with Iron. My advice to novices is ALWAYS wait at lesat 6 months before even considering getting into a serious commitment. No one has yet listened to that advice, but I still consider it sound. The only thing you need to know is be honest, be yourself, take your time, understand exactly what you're agreeing to and don't let anyone tell you that you're "wrong" for wanting what you want and making the right choice for yourself. Trust me, there will be plenty of people telling you whats right and wrong. No matter what you end up doing. I've seen you give this advice before... and heard similar from friends in the lifstyle. It is sound advice, as i've noticed is the case with many of your replies to posts here. Note that it Has been heeded by some of us. Some of us, while still relatively new to the lifestyle, are smart enough to realize that we have much to learn, and take note and pay heed to, and appreciate the wisdom imparted by those who have been once where we are today. Thank You and others here and in my social world who are generous with their thoughts and advice. Now... That said.... i sometimes get a little impatient with the fact that it seems like i've been searching forever for the right Dom... i sometimes want everything Right Now. Yet, i will not accept a collar until such time as I am ready to make a serious commitment to serve a Dom. And that kind of commitment will not be made lightly, without knowing him well, knowing that he is right for me... and that i am right for him. Just because i think he may be the one for me, may not necessarily mean that i am what he needs. So while I long to be collared, long to be claimed by a Dom or Master as his own, i will go slowly, and make sure i'm making the right decision.
