It will not matter what you put in  your profile, you will still get the same amount of challenged folks messaging you.

Put what makes you happy... how YOU identify and leave it at that.

Delete and block when you have to

What...there's a difference?

Well, if you were her you would be a lesbian because you'd be attracted to women, but you'd be HER so you'd be in HER body but with your orientations and so you'd list yourself as a person attracted to women, but as that person is female then you...wait...oh look...OOOOOH!! SPARKLIES!

I know.  I stole it.  I've been wanting to for a longish time.

I don't mind attention, even male attention. What I do mind is people who don't respect who I am or who don't even bother to take the time to see who/what i'm in to.

First, let me say, i havent read your profile, but the thread intrigued me.  i would say, just state you are bi.  Most of my contacts only email me because of the color of my profile....lol.  Not because they fit my needs.....lol.  Besides, stupid people can't read.....

bobipanti -> RE: advice plz... lesbian vs. bi (4/13/2008 3:16:32 PM)

I believe you should keep your profile as it looks. I may be a bit bi, but I consider myself a trans lesbian. Keep what you are looking for--good look.

Hi all! I'm new here, and would love a bit of advice on what I put down as my orientation on my profile. At the moment I have that I am a lesbian and am only seeking dominant/switch women or trans. This hasn't stopped several shall we say "reality challenged" male individuals from asking me to be their sub. So here's the quandry; in reality I'm bi, although 95% of the people I'm attracted to are women (and the other 5% tend to be either gay or Johnny Depp). Therefore what I'd like to put is that I am bi but am not seeking male tops at the moment. However I am worried that if I switch my orientation to bi I will have to deal with a significant increase in requests from men who might be even more reluctant to accept that I am not interested in playing with them. So what do you think? I might just go ahead and say I'm bi, and see what happens. Anyone else have the same problem?

I thought it was a footbal (soccer) match when I read the title....(smiling to myself at the thought of lesbains on one side and bi's on the other rolling around in a muddy field ignoring the ball completely)........

Tigrita -> RE: advice plz... lesbian vs. bi (4/13/2008 4:13:32 PM)

This feels similar to the problem lots of women have with being taken or not looking for relationships and still getting tons of come-on mail.  I find that when I put something descriptive to that effect in the very first line so people see it in the quote blurb that pops up with your profile, I get *much* less spam.  You have a beautiful, intriguing quote there and it would be a shame to push it down, but I think stating "not seeking men" at the very tip top of your profile would cut the spam down considerably (but never down to 0).  Also, you being new, you'll get a lot of spam at first because people can set up their profile to be notified about new members.  So once all the people fishing that way have struck out with you, you'll get less uncalledfor attention.

Prinsexx -> RE: advice plz... lesbian vs. bi (4/13/2008 4:29:52 PM)

How's about:
How's about an opening line like:
If you are Johnny Depp then you are the only male that need apply.......
or would that attract the 'Stars in Their Eyes' types.......
anyway why Johnny Depp isn't he a pirate type with scissors for hands?...I know I am kinky but I'm not quite that far gone.....

If only we could use fuzzy logic and partial category membership...

By the way, if you got that, you're a huge fucking geek.

first i would like to say welcome to our community here. Second where are you and will you marry me and be my forever pet.... on my profile igave up dealingwith people that don't take the time to read, all they see is bi-sexual or bi-curious (which i don't get) just do it and get it over with. i have always been bi-sexual since the ripe age of 11 years old long story anyway actually it isn't just felt great and never stopped. but just do what you've been doing in reference to your profile just a suggestion though people on here like poetry so add that to your profile. jsut beef it up so the girls out there will take a second look.... PSSSS... if you ever move to Indiana let me know.

toopolite -> RE: advice plz... lesbian vs. bi (4/25/2008 8:47:20 PM)

Go for lesbian.

We always read the profile first as its one of the few indicators of is the person real or just fake.

Sadly most folks just look at the pictures and spam messages and that is one reason we are reluctant to post any profile pics.

Thanks for reading.

I'd like to put I'm bi because it is who I am. I have had serious crushes on guys (although no serious relationships), and at some point I think I'd like to try bottoming to a guy, just not now.

Yanno, not ALL of us guys are fucksticks who only want to play with you. [;)]

impossiblesub -> RE: advice plz... lesbian vs. bi (4/25/2008 9:34:43 PM)

Are you looking for a relationship or just fun? If you are looking for a relationship and are completely satisfied in a lesbian relationship you might as well go that direction as you are probably not going to attract many gay men.
