Yeah, I know but I am lazy and in a hurry cause I was doing updates that needed rebooting just as I saw this thread, so I prefered to ask people who could tell me. Thank you.

You betcha. Main purposes of this thread is to see how many folks would be going, and what kind of folks they are. I've been thinkin' of hosting a little get-together at my house, and I really like to avoid conservatives/neocons/neonazis. Be cool if I found a guitarist and a bass player (just idle daydreams, really).

It's like a 20 minute drive, hehe. ^_^  That being said, if I see any of you driving the wrong way down the one way streets, I'm going to beat you.

Oh good... usually i get are angry stares and the finger [:-] Stupid cities.

i'm thinking about it... i'm terrible at planning things out in advance, though. Plus, i always have a hard time figuring out exactly what's going on from their website... you'd think a sci-fi con, of all things, could find a good webmaster [8D]

A whopping big scifi convention in Atlanta, over Labor Day weekend.

Check out http://www.dragoncon.org/.

Ah, well have fun, those of you who go.  I'm back on the mainland in June.  I only leave the Big Island about every two years.

hippiekinkster, i'm in tallahassee.

i will have to look into volunteering for it. things are nuts now and i try to plan for stuff like this a little more in advance, so maybe not this year...but volunteering sounds like an awesome idea.

also, if there are any other wot geeks around going, i'd recommend hooking up with folks at tarvalon.net or dragonmount if you haven't already! it can be an enormous help.

Hippiekinkster -> RE: DragonCon 2008 (5/1/2008 11:48:44 PM)

Might be a party in ATL come that time. [8D]

Lynnxz -> RE: DragonCon 2008 (8/30/2008 6:48:55 PM)

O hey! This is this weekend... anything going on yet? Traffic is awful on 75 to get there, by the way.

GreedyTop -> RE: DragonCon 2008 (8/30/2008 6:50:11 PM)

fuck me.. no way I'm making it................grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Lynnxz -> RE: DragonCon 2008 (8/30/2008 6:55:35 PM)

Ya, it snuck up on me too. I had forgotten about it until I heard an announcement on the radio.

GreedyTop -> RE: DragonCon 2008 (8/30/2008 7:06:04 PM)

at least you're local... *sigh*  if you want to go, check the website,, theres almost always last minute noshows, and you could still get a volunteer gig..

but if you do...make sure you commit!!
