Since they have the ability to read and write, I guess I can't put them in the top ten most stupid criminals of today.

A sentence of 8 and a half years for two essentially failed bank robberies where no one got hurt seems like a very heavy sentence to me. I would have made sure that he got a job, made some apologies and let it go at that.
