Most recent non-BDSM book that I read was Evermore by Lynn Vhiel... good read.

Just read and loved Winter's Light: Reflections of a Yankee Queer, by John Preston. He's the author of the gay BDSM classic Mr. Benson. Preston writes beautifully about being a gay man in Portland , Maine, and about coping with AIDS.
