but .... so i am ready to take first step and meet a Dom for real.  A Dom friend recommended this site.  So i am giving it a try.  Does this really work?  Can I really find a Dom in CollarMe who will guide me gently?

Certainly it can work! i have meet a vast array of folks from here R/T. Subs/slaves, switches, Doms. i have not meet a Domme as of yet, nevertheless, i have spoken to a few.

I am a smart lady and will use good judgement ... i was just ready for a real meeting and the site where i was exploring made that near impossible

I"m going to respond to you, and it's not going to be all happy happy joy joy.

There are some really wonderful people on this site.  Ablsolutely no doubt about it.  There are also absolute bullies and abusers and users.  Absolutely no doubt about it.  Most people - like all of life - are somewhere in the middle.

There is something called "sub frenzy" which can cause us to lose our good judgment (that "ohhhh god, take me now" kind of feeling in BDSM terms). 

I looked at your profile - You joined on 4/13, you asked this question on 4/13, and then you updated your profile on 4/13 to state

What are you doing?  How is it possible that in a matter of hours you are "under consideration."  Sounds like you may be getting a bit hood winked. 

LA has an excellent point   -    use your brain girl.  You are fresh meat and new to the scene.  That makes you cat nip for certain types of men. 

Either you are being foolish or you are playing us.

You can have good fortunes and meet potential friends and partners.  Many people here have done so.  You can also meet less desirable people, as has been mentioned.

What you need to consider is your own level of patience in how things are going.  You might have great luck quickly, or your search might take months or years.  Only you can determine your own level of seriousness to what this world has to offer and what part you will play in it.

Fishy....... maybe so. There are quite a few threads that would draw a pack of cats, IMO [:)] they just sound so...... hmm. Hard to say. Let's just stick with "fishy" [:D]
