OP: my suggestion is go to munches, meet people. LEARN. You could go buy ladies panties (didn't look at your profile, but I'm guessing you're sub?) and wear them around under your clothes. I strongly recommend staying away from auto-erotic asphyxiation.

I would suggest you find a trustworthy partner to try new things, we all know how the newbies get 'subfrenzy' and want to try everything yesterday, maybe you could find a local lifestyle friendly chat room and meet some people...munches are usually once a month, but are local and educational. If you are looking for things you can do to yourself that are BDSM related but you are not Collared then I suggest you LEARN. Read Books.

OK: these I can fully recommend:
Masturbate.
Buy a chastity device and then think about masturbation.

Time for you to hit some local munches. Find someone of interest and nicely ask "Pardon me but your conversation interested me and I would like to know what that would feel like."

Also look for the BDSM parties/shows to attend. You don't have to be collared to get used. However, you may need to ask and or beg for some torture.

Anyways, let's just say there are no local munches or play parties to meet other life stylers. Well, it wouldn't hurt to show yourself off a little bit. You can still wear a collar, bracers, or a chain of sorts around your neck. Perhaps wear a shirt with BDSM submission meaning to it. In conversations, it never hurts to bring up whips, chains, and ball gags. Vibes will pick up and you'll find yourself hanging out with some fun people.

If not the local night club, you can usually find a kinkster or two at a Live Action Role Playing Game. Also, find out how far the local SCA chapter is. It's a good chance that you can find someone with a naughty side in that group as well. When Holloween comes around, dress extra submissive like you're ready for the pain.

Before you tie yourself up, strangle yourself or cut anything important off while you are all by your lonesome, you might want to read up on BDSM and follow everyone’s good advice and go hit some munches, join a local public dungeon or BDSM nightclub.
