Status: offline 		I was reading an article by Tristan Taormino for the villiage voice. http://www.villagevoice.com/people/0639,taormino,74599,24.html

After a little feedback from some of the submissives I know, I'm going to have my TNG group host a Sexual Objectification party in August or September.

I was just curious what the reaction was to this type of party in the "mass" community.

Status: offline 		I think they are great, bring sex back into bdsm.  Watching flogging after flogging and suspension after suspenstion gets old. 

Years ago I put together with a host an event we called a Master's Party.  The submissives wore one of three colors, red, blue, and white.  Red was up for anything, blue was non penetrative bdsm play, and white was service only.  They lasted for a while but I think some drama from my old days killed them or at least finished them off.

Status: offline 		Wow...that's an interesting idea.  Condoms aside, was there some sort of STD test required to get in? Otherwise, a condom won't do much...

Status: offline 		This will be a an event planned at a members only club. Since it's also a TNG party there will be an age restriction, but those are the only requirements.
I'm not really interested in the politics of safer sex, in this discussion.

so exactly what is it that you are interested in discussing then? whether or not we approve, would do it, have done it, suggestions for play?

Status: offline 		I've done something like this before, but it wasn't totally anonymous like how described in the article.  I could see who was using me, but they were allowed to shove anything they wanted into either (or both) of my holes - and I was just used as an object for people to get off.  I was used by both men and women - and it was incredible.  Not really a sexual-turn on, but the feeling of just being an object........of just being there for someone to use in any way they liked..........was pretty powerful.  I'd definitely do it more often if I had the chance.

Sure, all of those are fine.  I just don't see the effectiveness of condoms being specificly relevant, since it's a universal topic in any sexual context.

the concept of public sexual objectification is interesting enough on it's own.  Or, at least that's what I believe.

I think you're being cavalier. There's an element of submission involved in objectification you're overlooking; Much like subJordanTyler said "Not really a sexual-turn on, but the feeling of just being an object........of just being there for someone to use in any way they liked..........was pretty powerful."

Status: offline 		Well, Amadio, since your initial post was looking for reactions, I did not realize you had a criteria of acceptable responses.  Maybe  I was supposed to say something like "sounds hot, I'd love to go" or "ooo, I know someone who'd be a great hole" but really, my first gut response was more along the lines of a response to the 4-times laid guy's experiences.  Among a group of people at least passing familiar with each other, such as a munch group or swingers group, this would be fantastic.  However, in a venue simply open to the public, or even with an entrance fee, it seems like a wonderful way for the undesirable or desperate to get their rocks off.  And a fee?  That would only narrow the field to undesirables with a bit more income.

Status: offline 		i didn't over-look the submissive aspect; there's nothing submissive about being into objectification and/or kinky sex, and believe me, if they weren't into it, they wouldn't have been there in the first place; you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. not to say that some people can't feel very submissive while there participating, but even then, if it weren't empowering them somehow, they wouldn't do it.

I think you're being cavalier.
