ok- if wealth is transferred to "there" why does exxon mobile have extreme profit?

2. we built the [new]China boogieman. China would have been happy behind the great wall had we minded our own business!! hence WE ALL pay now. cheap junk, well- factor in todays prices- is it now cheaper? not really. not once you factor in the cost to envirenment, transport, downward pressure on wages- and 'new" allocation of global resources. IE- America can no longer endlessly gluttonly consume. not at fire sale prices.
at times we [westerners] are brilliant.. but at the moment, a LONG moment- we are stupid for shooting ourself in the foot.
yellow ribbons.for what? how about less consumption and choices that stretch resources?
how many times can you put $60 in the gas tank and still go anywhere? BTW McCains talkof no gas tax- well thats $0.18 ....not as much as you would guess.
