Oh no...no....just today, my business partner and I were travelling to a meeting in separate cars...and he called me to compare his GPS (OnStar) with my GPS (TomTom). That, sadly, is what geeks do. (hangs geeky head in shame)

I bought a special gamer's keyboard with a pre-programmed RPG keypad setting. Becuase that's another thing geeks do. (also hangs head in shame)

They say the Olympus Stylus 720 or I think 770 is waterproof at around $300... I believe it is around 7 mp resolution...not bad

Thanks...It's warming up and I'm out roughing it quite a bit and need a waterproof camera...Whether it is from direct contact to water or just to marginalize some humidity.

I'll give it a look.

Yes, Olympus makes a good one. I can't recall the name of the one I had (my ex took it...which I am still salty about.) But it cost around 400. a little steep but - it was an emergency purchase on vacation, so likely it would have been cheaper in the states. It took great pictures, was easy to use and had loads of options plus - the software which came with it was pretty nice. If i recall it was waterproff to 10 feet and shock proof as well.

Well yeah if you want a true waterproof you need a case for it I think. I was always too chicken to actually test the waterproofiness of my camera.

There's a number of ways around that kind of problem, Stephann, but the layer controls are a good one. I know someone else who solved that problem with a document conversion utility as well, also...

By the way, if you ever need a program to crack password protected PDFs, those are quite easy to find as well. Most things are far less secure than people think.

I still fuck with other people at work by emailing them things like their access database passwords, user logons for our network, social security numbers, and the like... ah, the joys of doing evil with technology.

Oh, I did have to crack the master password on the PDF before I could remove the invisible layers. I used this handy little program.

I didn't even know that PDFs could be passworded. Some geek I am.
