Its good fun tho' ennit If you can do something about ambulance sirens, too loud and used improperly then I will vote for you OK?

This is the first time I’m considering not voting. Seems pointless when I live in an area dominated by one of the parties. First past the post, isn’t working. If everyone voted for the candidate least likely to win such as the green party they’d be chaos. I think we should try it just for the fun element of not knowing how long the lights will stay on for.

If the situation be, that there is nothing worthy to vote for in your area, try anyway, but foul the vote, as that is a vote registered, but no one gets it.

If you're voting in London, it isn't just first past the post and hasn't been for some time. London mixes in an element of proportional representation, that's why you can mark a second choice. This gives more of a chance to minority parties who generally mobilise higher percentages of their membership. This is good because it means the Greens will be represented. But it is also bad because it means the BNP will be too. This year's BNP mayoral candidate is a gay man who had to dump his live-in boyfriend and hop back into the closet, as the BNP is now staunchly anti-gay. Your second vote is every bit as important as your first in some ways.
