Maplethorpe is way too obvious.....
Delia is obviously a woman who knows how to use a whip.

My apologies.....I really wanted an end to the images. It was a momentary lapse.

Don't pollute the threads with images.Post a link to an image or artists site.

I respect not "polluting" a thread with images, but the very topic is art! It seems perfectly in line with the subject matter to include images. When the conversation is about "what images should someone include in their house" it seems silly not to add images for purposes of inciting more discussion and improving discourse.

Why have the image function turned on in the first place if you preclude all images?

I just hope to respectfully voice my dissent.

Thank you for the advice.  If we could remove that functionality, we would certainly have done so.  Consider your dissent voiced, but from now on, please follow the forum rules.

Thank you.

Recently my girl and I were shopping online at a number of websites that offered portraits and paintings. Some drawn, some painted, some litho's, all sorts.. We did find a couple of sites that offered some really nice stuff ( www.obsessionart.com, www.art.com, www.postercheckout.com)

There was some very nice stuff, some stuff was blatantly BDSM, others were very subtle.. We are shooting for subtle like you mentioned for the cover..

We do not keep promiscuos style pieces in the home due to our saplings. However I have some marble sculpture. One, a bust of a submissive female with a collar, and another of two slave girls relaxing that is nearly complete.
Both are done in an unobtrusive style not prominent as BDSM pieces, though apparent to those with interest.
If you are interested, please feel free to send me a message.

This is the exact issue we have.. Our little one is at the age of What is that?! Last thing we is her to go to school and tell her friends about this art mommy and daddy has of a woman chained and being whipped lol..
We of course have a number of nilla friends who have no need to know anything about our lifestyle.. They would read more into things then we would like and well we don't want to have to run around turning pictures around LOL.. Not that we haven't thought of that too ROFLMAO!

Can you send me privately some pics?
Would be interested in seeing..

September Morn by Paul Chabas.

It reminds me of submission and modesty and I love the soft and muted colors.

It hangs over my bed.

Paul Chabas Framed Enhanced Canvas Painting Replica:"September Morn " - Paul Chabas

That is a beautiful piece

Agreed! That is a wonderful piece!
That is subtle enough to not get odd looks from family..

I have most of my functions turned on but have to precluse some of them for temporal and spatial reasons.
Whereas I find google images an exhilerating tool, I find google scholar, and google book a far meatier resource.
I think it is easy to 'feel as if one has experienced art by simply clicking on an image. But this is, in my experience, far, far from the truth.
I remember sitting in front of a Rothko for the first time, and rather than a Penny Black what I got was an experience of being pulled further and deeper in Rothko's sense of failure and despair, his layers of darkness.
So many works of art, have, in reality, put me in a relationship with the artist. Reality does that.
The Hayward Gallery's On the Blamket exhibition, the Hatward's delicate salvation of Venetian flooded masterpieces. The role distance from a Monet. The fabulous elongation of  the male's leg in Rodin's Kiss at the Tate Modern. Carved from too smaller piece of stone than he needed, Rodin did not eclipse the embrace but stretched it in space and of course captured it forever in time.
I would rather offer myself as a model and be bathed in latex than to see erotica squeezed into a click to view a larg
er image.
Dressed to thrill we are all works of Art......
ed to add: I love touching knobs.

TaoInDominance -> RE: What BDSM/Erotic Art and sculpture do you have? (4/17/2008 5:17:25 PM)

I take a lot of my own pictures or draw them.  Many of the pics are of bondage or body art I have done.  However I am a huge fan of two pictures, oneis Beach Bound, which is a picture of Claire Adamns tied on a dock.  it is subtle, elegant and powerful and can be found on the artist, Lochai's Tribe profile at http://people.tribe.net/lochai/photos/2fe4da7b-ef25-4fe1-85fa-ee46e7551485.  I believe prints are for sale.  The other is a human Harp by Jim Duvall and is on his deviant art profile and the print is also for sale at http://jimduvall.deviantart.com/
They are subtle and can be in almost any house.

Apparently I am Straight however now I have to change my Persuasion to Submissive. As attractive as that knob is I think I will have to call that a hard limit.

Flogger handle sculpture – I have a collection of unique hand sculpted resin cast flogger handles by softdsire.

Slave soap sculpture - Besides flogger handles, softdsire also sculpts many beautiful lifestyle scenes.  Many of her works, like her handles, are unique commissioned works.  However, she made a set of casts for mass production soap molds.  I have some of her "slave soap" in the guest bath.

Photographs – A collections of personal photographs involving BDSM scenes hangs on my walls.

I have this copy of this sculpture: rape of the Sabine woman http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Giambologna_sabine.jpg  As well as a very abstract wooden sculpture of a man taking a woman from behind.

Also, something that you might want to consider is making a plaster of paris body mold. It could be a simple, elegant piece, that would not be sexual/submissive to anyone else ... but the act of making the piece could be.

While this site is for women who are pregnant, it could be used in other ways.  http://www.bellymask.com/what_is.html
