How can anyone who hangs around the BDSM world not see the conecction with Ren Fairs. I'm sure pop, know what they are just not why.
 
BTW... this is still America. You don't have to have any reasons for not liking something....lol

Yourhand, that's easy, I just wouldn't hang out with the type of people who do go to them.
No interest that's all.
I'd just as soon hang out at the American Legion, more my type of people.

I will say this:

My deliberate ploy of not having a picture in my profile seems to work wonders.  I get very little trash mail (and what little I get is obviously spam shotgunned out to many people), and likewise, those people who do message me tend to be disproportionately in touch and interesting.

Why?

Because all they have to go on is the text in my profile; they can't judge me by a picture, which was a deliberate choice (for several reasons).  I'm sure I miss some interesting ones who are annoyed I don't have a picture, but I also miss almost all of the garbage.

On a different site though I do hard limit duct tape gags. A lot more than 3 people wrote telling me the first thing they would do would be to break it. WTF? They really thought that saying "I am an untrustworthy creep who does promise to do things that will harm you" is the way to get me interested?

Yeah, I know it's weird but even the thought makes me panic. The one time he held a strip up in the air and joked about it, I froze and couldn't talk to him or look at him. Two days later I finally was able to ask if he really was kidding. I'm serious about this. And yes, he was kidding.

Today I got an email that told me my hard limit and this post was mean spirited and biggoted.

I dunno....  maybe I should rethink paying $50 bucks to by a $6 Turkey leg???

About once or twice per year someone comes along and calls me a sociopath. I mean not counting the ones who mean it as a compliment.

I avoid them all with equal fervor

Greedy...off topic here but i hope you list tape as a known medical allergy.

Also, if you want to play with tape a few layers of medical paper tape will work pretty well.
