Maybe the part you are mising is as you presented it, you are looking to have 10 people attend, who are already serious about the lifestyle. Are you then not having anyone else attend? If you are limiting your attnedance to 10 serious lifestyle people, it will do nothing for ANYONE who isnt invited. It wont raise awareness, it wont even address interests. Unless you are hoping to have 10 core people who will help you educate other attendees. But, in a smal concervative town, you had best be sure your education is going to be well recieved. It might not be a positive thing for you, it might turn around and bite you in the ass. Keep that in mind as well, not everywhere is open or interested in being educated.

A successful munch does not have an eitist group attending. It is an open forum for discusion and meeting, that is NOT focused around BDSM practices and activities. It is simply lifestyle friendly, but the topics that come up can and usually are vanilla. If you are getting together to play, it sounds more like a by-invite play party, not a munch. Fox and I are organizing a munch. It'l be at a restaurant, we wil be issuing an open invitation and possibly providing name tags. Beyond that, we dont care who is what. Dom/sub, you dont have to say if you dont want to. No one has to know who or what you are into, unless you want them to, and it wont matter who has what experience.

I have a tip.  If you are fishing for people from collarme to attend, you might want to mention that you are in El Centro, California in the OP.

I checked collarme, and I have yet to find anyone in this city (other than mySelf) that has a profile here.

Okay, serious response now, speaking as person with Years Of Experience organizing events.

First, pick a space that YOU like.  Everyone will complain, to your face or behind your back.  Make sure that it is free or cheap, and that there are beverages to be had.  I have always wanted to have an outdoor at the park munch, but I live in SE Michigan.

Be relaxed about who can attend.  Not everyone who expresses interest, or even RSVP's will show up.  People are full of talk, and real life happens to the best of us.  There are plenty of "serious" folks who have little experience, and dilettantes who have been around forever.  What you want are interested participants who are not trolls.

If you want to have a discussion topic, be very clear about that from the outset, and state your topic.  There's a monthly dinner in these parts that does just that, says the topic in advance, and those that are not interested in that topic can say "bored now" and stay home that week.  Are you any good at leading discussions?  Not meaning that as a dis, just that some have that skill, some don't and eeeeeh trying to shut down a soapbox graciously can be tricky.

Have fun!

This is a very good idea as well.

Thank You.

> That depnds on how well things go.

> I think that it will serve it's purpose. I need people who are beyond "kinky".

Unless you are hoping to have 10 core people who will help you educate other attendees. But, in a smal concervative town, you had best be sure your education is going to be well recieved.

> You should see how sexually repressed people are over here. There are many people who feel like a freak for wanting a D/s or S&M relationship. I aim to get rid of that.
