The first thing that comes to my mind is - What did you expect ?

Ha! He said...a return to serious journalism.

The "debate" was heavily tilted against Obama from the very beginning. He was beat up pretty badly...

quote:

The criticism began shortly after Wednesday's 90-minute debate in Philadelphia, the first half of which was dominated by questions to Obama about his electability. Among other matters, Gibson and Stephanopoulos pressed the candidate about incendiary remarks made by his onetime pastor and about Obama's association with a 1960s radical.

Many media critics disparaged the debate's focus, and supporters of the Illinois senator decried the line of questioning as trivial and irrelevant. ABC News' website was immediately bombarded with posts complaining about the tone. Comments kept pouring in Friday.

Now Obama backers have the general idea how Republicans must feel.

Point.

I've found it incredibly ... entertaining ... to watch the Hillary/Obama race.

I found it amusing that all the stuff that the Republicans had been saying about the kind of person Hillary and the Clintons are, and how they operate, has been now claimed by many of the Democrats.

I find it terribly funny that when Obama runs on his "morals' and his "beliefs", he is constantly accused of being (usually sub rosa) a hypocrite and and liar...

Most of all, I find it immensely satisfying that all the dirty tricks that the Dems and the media normally employ against the Republicans are being exposed in a Dem-on-Dem fight.

Perhaps, for the more observant Democrats and "lefties", it might be an eye-opener on how the game is actually stacked against many "conservative" political figures.

I can hope, anyway.  [:D]

Well the stakes are high. They figure the repubicans can't win, not after the Bush years. And I can't say they are wrong, there are a hell of alot of people who will not vote for 100 years of war.

I wonder how they would've treated Ron Paul.

Well, T ... from here, right now, I'd take bets that the next President will be a Republican.

Yeah, that will be great, having another Republican in the white house. George Bush has things going so well, I think he deserves a third and possibly a fourth term...

Thousands and thousands more dead in Iraq.

The recession killing the economy for another four years.

More torture

More wiretapping of everyone

More attacks on the Constitution

More loading of right wing neanderthals into the supreme court

More tax breaks for the uber rich, while the middle class dies like a dinosaur in a tar pit.

Creationisim taught in America's science classrooms.

More scientists forced to move out of the US, because their life saving, cutting edge research is banned to appease religious nutjobs.

More incompetents put in charge of vital emergency programs, insuring that people caught up in earthquakes, fires, floods, hurricanes.. all are left twisting in the wind.

A reinstitution of the draft, to make sure we have IED fodder.

etc.

etc.

etc.

Sorry bipolar.  I understand that you are deeply into the anti-Republican side of the question, and you personally find the thought distasteful.

But just wanting it won't necessarily make it so.
