I watched a friend do basically the same thing in Virginia back in the 80s. He had just bought a used bike from a dealership (ink hadn't even dried on the contract), I told him to let the clutch out easy and follow me around the corner to practice before we rode off and he let it out to fast, slammed right into a car, bounced off it, hit another car and messed the bike all up in the matter of a few seconds. Happened during the day and the street was full of traffic. Not many nice words were used to describe him that day....chuckles....oh well.
