AQ is a useful bogeyman created by the U.S. government. Two things: a lot of this is from the BBC, normally although not always a reputable news source. And no one seems very bothered about the whereabouts of OBL, the man who claimed responsibility for 9/11. Does no one else find this odd? Reread those Bush quotes up-thread.
With all of our surveillance tech we can't find one guy on a kidney machine? Ridiculous.
With all of its millions of dollars and thousands of adherents AQ cannot mount another attack of some sort? Why not? And yet this organization is supposed to exist.
