My 17 yr old son is in critical care. His appendix ruptured (while we were in the ER waiting room- go figure) and he went into septsis on the operting room table. His lungs filled with fluid and he was put on a ventilator. It looks like he's going to be alright- he is breathing on his own now (and should be out of the CCU tomorrow), but I am a mess- emotionally drained and physically exhausted. I would not have had any rest at all except Master came up to stay with me last night and made me go to bed (meaning he had to get up at 2am this morning to get to work ontime). My son will be in the hospital for at least another week. And on IV antibiotics for weeks after that. So, I'm asking for all the prayers and good energy I can get. Thanks.

Granted. My thoughts are with you. Here's praying that the worst is over, and through the life force shown by your son during his recovery you will find that inner peace and strength to know that the worst is past, that every day is new life, new strength, and new hope. Through positive energy, through faith, through hope, and through love there can be a recovery and a new tomorrow.

Wow. A frend of mine who used to be on the site. Had to have her appendix taken out last week. And just as she is recovering nicely. I am sure your son will be fine to. HUgggggsss. and best wishes for you both.

hugs to you hej...how much i know that feeling...my 12 year had the same happen..we just got off vacation..i thought it was a tummy problem..let it go for 2 days..till it got so bad..relized something was wrong..rushed him to the hospital and it began to rupture..he got a high fever...took him to childrens hospital..he did have surgery that very next morning..if it would have been any later when we took him may have been to late..my prayers for you go deep from soul..hope your son gets better..hugggggggs..[:)]

Having experienced leaving each one of my three at the hospital in the past, though not nearly as detrimental a cause; I know it is a living nightmare. Try not to forget to take care of yourself. My best, k

It's terrible being a parent in this situation - we always feel so damned helpless, but I'm sure he appreciates you being there for him. Wishes of good health and happiness from across the pond.

Nothing more devestating than when one's um is sick or suffering, it is all consumming till you know they are safe and on the mend. He will be in my meditations and i will be sending him positive energy.
