I have the usual stuff, trauma pads/ab pads, emt scissors, eye wash, sterile eye-pads, penlight ( useful for checking pupils...learn what to look for ),bandages, bandaids , gauze sponges, burn treatment, instant-cool pouchs, med tape, antibiotic ointment, prep wipes ( alcohol, betadine, etc ), tongue depressors, ace bandage, splint ( about 8" ), topical anti-histamine, oral anti-histamine, tweezers, hand sanitizer, emergency hypothermic blanket ( they are quite small ), rubber tourniquet material ( use ONLY as a last resort ), mouth shield for CPR use, rubber gloves, a few maxi-pads ( great for a large, bleeding wound. I am sure that I have missed something. This should be enough to keep you busy till the EMT's get there, lol. Most importantly, take a CPR class and a first-aid class, at least.
