i have been wandering through the message board lately and decided i'd best start here with a bit of an intro. i think my profile pretty much describes what i'm looking for, so i kindly point you in that direction. [:)]
This morning i read the question someone posted about what came first, vanilla or BDSM. Well, for me i would have to say most definitely vanilla because for years i really didn't know what BDSM was all about. i was introduced to it by One that became my Master/Husband. He has since passed away (4.5 years ago now) but has left me with wonderful memories and the need and the knowledge to know what it is that makes my life complete. It makes me chuckle when i think of Him saying i took to this lifestyle like a duck to water. Since then i have had the privlege of having a very close friend and mentor who i respect and admire so much. He has commented that i am a 'true submissive'.
Together with what i have learned from these two incredible men and what i feel inside, makes me sometimes believe that i will not ever find a good match. Sex is an important part of a relationship but that aspect must be in balance with everthing else ...knowledge, humour, personality, compassion, love, support, friendship, trust and so many other things that are so very important in a relationship.
i think i will wander off now and do some reading elsewhere on the message board. i may not be 'living' the lifestyle currently but reading the messages (and yes i will start responding to some [:)] ) make me feel i'm still involved in it.
