Notice that each time one of these type shootings occur, it is followed by heavy media coverage thus equals fame.  Like Glen Beck or not, he thinks some people are worshiping a "Fame God". 
In other words they are doing these killings for fame. I tend to agree with him.
Chicago has had its share of shootings lately.  Could be gang/mafia related.   Who knows, but it is defenitely getting out of hand as the economy gets worse.

it happens every year - as soon as the weather turns warmer, gangs come out of hiding despite the change in curfew hours. i live in Englewood and have noticed more police patroling however it's not going to last.

i think it is a horrendous situation all together. and i will admit when i did live in Columbus for 7 years i did notice the crimes,including shootings went up as the temps did.

I would bet all the shooters had illegal weapon not registered to them,goes to show you if  one wanted a weapon there are a ton of them out there.I go to a lot of gun shows and I do purchase guns from time to time .If this loop hole was tighten up a lot of illegal weapons would dry up....I am a big believer in the right to own and bear arms but do it the correct way...HnH

The part that gets on my nerves is that 36 were shot, and only 10 died.  We try to sugar coat it.

They said on the News tonight that 5 more were killed in the same area last night.

Here you go....In 2007 435 people were murdered in Chicago...The fewest in the last 17 years. You would think from the news that people were killing each other like Cub losses.

It's all hype....Be very afraid. We are led to believe that things are getting worse when in fact things are actually improving....Who would have thunk it? We are led around by the nose...No one questions shit.

It's sad that of late some kids were gunned down...Almost everything is gang related. It sucks and there is no end to the problem in sight. The problem runs deep and is so multilayered that there is no easy solution.
