Isn't that a little bit redundant?

If you have "effective leadership skills", that pretty much encompasses the rest of the list.

agreed, Marc.. or another thing my boss does that I appreciate:  if one of us makes a minor mistake, he talks to ALL of us about it...even if I know the error was mine (as if THAT ever happens! *grin*), he doesn't single me out.  By talking to us all, none are made to feel like the kid standing in the corner with the duncecap on.

And I agree... always absent is a plus LOL

I understand what you are saying.  The list could easily have been titled, "Top 10 Leadership Skills".  Any other qualities you would like to add?

In some cases that would be a good thing.  But I recently worked with someone who vanished for days at a time and we did not have any way to reach her.  And she was temporarily in charge and was supposed to be ordering all the office supplies.  And when she would reappear, she wondered why no one had any respect for her authority.
