toopolite -> Does asking about tatoos ever work? (4/22/2008 1:29:29 AM)

I was wondering if its ok to ask a lady about Her tatoos in a polite manner and then ask if She is into BDSM?

Or is that a shurefire recipe for problems?

Just wondering.

Thank you for reading this.

if you are so inclined, why not just ask about her tattoos and let her tell you whether she is into BDSM?

tattooed like crazy,
mitda

OMG...Just about every girl in the uk now has a tattoo...at least everyone you're likely to meet out partying...

Expect this response a LOT 'BDS....WHAT?'

I'd stick to speaking to scene people...I also belong to a dating site where I have all my pics up and when people ask why I've been single so long I drop in then that I am only seeking sexually dominant women...once sexual dominance is there I can train that domme right up in a jiffy!

Thanks for the replys and I guess the best system is too just ask since there is no scene where we live at.

hopelessfool -> RE: Does asking about tatoos ever work? (4/22/2008 2:05:24 AM)

Or try.
I know you might not be into this but if we go out on a date would you mind being in control of most of the details? I really enjoy a woman whos into control. Edit: And or if you went on a date if she didnt mind you being in control, because you really enjoy a woman who is submissive.

If there is no scene then chaces are kind of likely theres 1 in 100 women wh are into the scene but dont know how to express it.

Andjew -> RE: Does asking about tatoos ever work? (4/22/2008 2:15:39 AM)

What do tattoos and BDSM have to do with eachother? Seems like quite a leap in deductive reasoning.

Be more subtle, ask her was other forms of body modifacations she's into after complimenting her tattoo.

toopolite -> RE: Does asking about tatoos ever work? (4/22/2008 2:37:41 AM)

I have no idea and I just assumed that if folks are into the pain of tatoos then maybe they are into spanking and other things.

I guess we can try asking about if they are into other body modifications.

It really comes down to my wife and me being scardy cats about asking a woman about BDSM and instead of getting a yes or a no we get some woman wanting to use a gun on us.

So we ask questions here to try and learn from folks on the message boards as to what works.

Thank you for the info.

I got my first tattoo, not because it wasnt something I really wanted but because I had no one around to handle that itch. Its why I have several peices set aside to be something to get when the itch cant be scratched in the way I want I can be scratched in another.

toopolite -> RE: Does asking about tatoos ever work? (4/22/2008 3:01:11 AM)

This Saturday as we were in a store a Lady was bending over in front of me to get at some items in a lower shelf and I noticed a tatoo of an apple with a lightning bolt on each side and I was tempted to ask about Her tatoo but I was too embarrased to do so.

I guess next time we are in the store I will ask about that tatoo and hopefully I will get a civil response.

My wife every now and then tells me that She wants a small butterfly tatoo but then when I mention going to a tatoo parlor the subject gets dropped.

What tatoo designs do you have in mind?

Thank you.

A flower like a lily in the coloring of a tiger on one shoulder a dragon or like the sorts on the other. The small of my back reserved for when owned.

Thank you for all the info.

Time for my wife and me to go to sleep and we wish every one happy dreams and a nice day.

It'd probably be a problem for me to ask as I loathe the horrible things...!  lol

Soft, smooth, *non-vandalised* female skin - now that's sexy!

OmegaG -> RE: Does asking about tatoos ever work? (4/22/2008 5:59:48 AM)

my tatoos have nothing to do with BDSM.  In fact, at the time that I got my first one, if you'd told me that I had any submissive or masochistic tendancies, I'd have told you you were on crack (well, it was so long ago, I'd probably have said you were high).

I also don't find tatoos painful, I can actually fall asleep while being inked.

The last tatoo I got was a memorialization for my father-- I don't think anyone in the world could connect Grumpy with BDSM.  (as an aside-- I had already made the appointment for the tatoo when I met m'Lord, he doesn't care one way or another about ink, but here I am at the very first meeting telling him that I'm getting another.  He kept me so I must not have been too obnoxious)

Aynne -> RE: Does asking about tatoos ever work? (4/22/2008 6:09:43 AM)

Me too Omega, neither of my tattoos had anything to do with D/s. My first one, a large dragon on my lower back was my 35th birthday present to myself, and another smaller dragon on my left shoulder is a memorial piece. You are better at dealing with the ink then me though, I can't imagine falling asleep, the one on my back took 5 hours and I felt like I had been dragged for a mile on my back on a gravel road!  However it can't be that bad, I am ready for another one.....[:D]

GreedyTop -> RE: Does asking about tatoos ever work? (4/22/2008 6:15:12 AM)

toopolite: if you see a tattoo on someone, it's perfectly ok to comment on it.. "hey, nice ink!  Does it hold any significance?" . I have yet to meet anyone with ink that ISNT happy to discuss their tats with someone who seems genuinely interested.
I have 16 (17? I gotta count again) tattoos.  None of mine have anything to do with BDSM.  I was thinking about getting something that would be recognizable to others into it, but I think other than getting the coloring finished in the Dragon on my leg I'm done with getting inked.

Twicehappy2x -> RE: Does asking about tatoos ever work? (4/22/2008 6:27:27 AM)

She could very easily just be some bikers old lady, weg, and that could get you into trouble if you asked about bdsm. Only asking about the ink would be safe though.

OmegaG -> RE: Does asking about tatoos ever work? (4/22/2008 6:28:13 AM)

until you get the itch again...

I'll want a memorialization piece for my mother when the time comes, other then that-- if given free reigh, I have two other peices in mind.  I currently have 3 though I've been inked 4 times (the first one was shoddy and got covered)

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Does asking about tatoos ever work? (4/22/2008 6:39:34 AM)

Just about everyone I know in the military has tatts. NONE of them are into BDSM. Just the idea still sets their teeth on edge, they wont discus it with me becasue (which amuses me from people who spend their time doing what they do) thats just cruel and wierd. Tattoos have little to do with wanting the pain, and more to do with wanting the art and not minding the pain. And I am willing to guess that no matter whether they are or arent into BDSM, a segue like "hey nice ink, are you also a kinkster?" is going to get you slapped. Complimenting on someones tatts are one thing, asking about their sex life is overstepping boundaries for some established relationships, so asking someone you barely know for a few moments is not going to be viewed well.

My 2 cents

Thats like assuming that if people are into cars, they are also into getting hit by them.[8|]

lol

Yeah, I was thinking of getting a memorial piece for my Dad. Another for Mom, when the time comes (please God let that be a long time from now!).  I actually have a memorial for my maternal grandparents, so ultimately, I'll probably add my parents intials to that piece (it's a Celtic cross on my upper arm: above it is the word Cumhneachan - Scots Gaelic for 'in rememberence of' or 'in honor of'. below that are my GPs initials)
