Go into a store that has a section for fishing equipment, they have tiny cowbell-like things that come on alligator clamps. I paid about $3 Canadian for a set of 2. Be careful, the jaws overlap & could do damage. I took a very thin needlenose pliers and rolled the alligator teeth back just so the smooth edges of the clamp were meeting. Great for CBT, humiliation, nipples or what have you. Fun trying to make them ring on a scrotum by whacking the butt.

I have gotten some of those bells and I notice the clamps will fall apart when used too much. I have not done it yet but will drill our rivet holding the clamp on it and use blind string. The string it just right and you can make a hang man noose. It works perfect for you can tighten it but make sure only do 10 knots if you do 13 that is the hangman nooses and I been told it is illegal but not sure. Beside 10 is a nice round number and it works the same. Good luck.

[:)] What I love about these clamps is, that unlike the ones you get in adult stores or at kinky fairs, they are inexpensive. If I pay $69 and the clamps fall apart, I am pissed, but at $3 a pair, I can get more. Oh yes & what are often called clover clamps can be purchased at sewing supply stores.

What are clover clamps used for in sewing? And do they call them clover clamps? I'm feeling the urge to go to the Singer store.

Looking for inexpensive clamps?????? Please do not ingnore your local home center, e.g. Mennards, Home Depot, etc. I recently purchased some small C clamps for $1.29 each. Small quick release clamps for $2.75. Lots of "good stuff" at a very low cost. Living in farming country in the mid-west, I've also found that farm supply store are a great source for inexpensive gear. Donn

I, too, have visited the local home improvement stores in search of "kinky goodies". Ohhhhh, what a selection. I have bought: O rings (for gags and weight) C clamps U clamps electrical clamps dowel rods wire mesh wire fencing lumber (of course) assorted screws, nuts bolts It's amazing the things you can do with "home improvement" supplies. Even the larger pieces of equipment in My playroom were constructed by Me and/or helpers. Sometimes, spray paint makes something that is bland and dull---shiny, beautiful, pleasing to the eye. Also, for making any sort of gags, rings, cock rings, O-ring, etc- there is a product on the market that is used to put the rubber "grip" on the handles of tools. Plasti-Dip--or something to the effect. Not a bad product- a bit messy tho. Also, as an avid sewer, seamstress, crafter- I spend a lot of time in fabric/craft stores. Lots of goodies to be had there, as well. Most of these things can be slightly modified for aesthetics or customization for use, and, are VERY inexpensive to counterparts that can be purchased at adult bookstores, kink shops, etc. Many patterns available for making adult "costumes" and such can be varied, or use different type of fabric, etc....for "kink" friendly costumes, outfits, etc. I have even made hoods, wraps for bondage, etc- on My home sewing machine. With little to no "tweaking", they can be customized for a specific slaves fit, or a specific Tops needs/desires. Lady Angel

I love cloverleafs! They are good, lightweight and strong, non-slip clamps. Promlem is, they're damned hard to find online for NON-BDSM use! I flatly refuse to pay $25 for two, when I know they can probably be had for $5 apiece at fabric stores, which don't seem to have them anyway! Grrrr! I did a throrugh search on Google Advanced weeding through well over 15,000 'hits' and found - bupkis! Nothing under $20.00 certainly. Add shipping and handling to that and the figure grows to near $30.00 for two little cloverleafs! Feh. I just bought a pair of Smith and Wesson handcuffs, plusextra key-set PLUS custom engraving on the cuffs, for a total of $38.00, S&H included! Cloverleafs cannot be THAT expensive. Anyone know a good online source for them at a reasonable wallet-bite? Lady Sonelle

I've searched online, including fabric stores. I'm not able to find these. Do you by any chance know what they are called exactly? Or better yet, a link to purchase them?

Clover clamps are more commonly called silk clamps. My wife explained what they're actually for a few years ago, when I mistakenly put hers away in the toy bin (but, not being a person who sews, I have subsequently forgotten the explanation. Guess she shoulda used that rolled up newspaper after all, huh?) <edit - "sewer". Heh. I should have payed more attention before typing that one out.>

The most effective & free clamps i know are the ones that are in the clothing stores on hangers. They have a neet rubber jaw face and start out excrutiatingly harsh. I forget what clothing hangs from them, but you should spot them when shopping. When my Mistress makes a purchase, she simply requests to keep the hanger. It's free! The hard part, if you want to get creative, is in replacing the steel rod with a piece of rod that you can actually bend with pliers. The goal, of course is to separate the clamps & discard the plastic hanger. Just find a suitable piece of rod, say 3 inches long for each clamp. Pull your first clamp off the hard steel rod strait onto your new softer rod, making sure to keep it from flying apart. Set the next clamp aside. Bend one end of your rod into a small loop - less than a half inch diameter. Pull this loop up next to the clamp and bend the remaining end to match as close to the clamp as possible. Cut off any extra rod material and final shape. Repeat for the second clamp. I felt it very important to loop the ends for safety's sake: in, fact, I filed the ends smooth for the same reason. No matter how you find yourself positioned; you won't get poked or jabbed by a sharp piece of metal. I added a short length of decorative chain between them. The loops can also enhance the idea of any other attachment you see fit to add to your scene!

If you live near a Tractor Supply store - GO THERE! They have lots of wonderful toys that some people think have to do with farm supplies. Go figure! Vet tape comes in lots of colors and is so useful for binding so many parts, and it photographs well in purple. And don't forget Office Depot. A box of large binder clamps is cheap and has handy loops to hang things from.

Clover clamps were created for silk emborderiary (oh i spelled that horribly wrong LOL) by the Japanese. One of the reasons BDSM folks like them especially much is because they were designed to grip (the silk or whatever they are applied to) harder when tension was applied, thus, you pull on them and they clamp down harder. Nifty little suckers. Most BDSM online stores and adult toy stores carry them now and they run anywhere from 10-30 bucks. You can temper them in the oven like you would with wooden closepins if one is too strong when it grips - just make sure you remove the rubber grippers first - and replace them after they cool before you use them - unless you happen to want those evil little nubs. ~ShadeDiva

some of the best i have found is the gator brand for holding tarps, black heavy plastic with teeth which can be filed, hold well and will not damage skin......
