Since there was a post about "Domly type vehicles", how about a post for "subby type vehicles".  No poll here, just write in your vote.

I drive an '06 Volvo S60 R.  You can get a glimpse of the front end on my profile.

I've a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer.. mud colored heh because I live on dirt roads and see no logic in washing it. It is not my vehicle of choice, I miss dearly my sweet little green happy Geo Tracker 4x4 soft top! I adored that thing, I could even parallel park whooohooo! Unfortunately my father offered my Tracker to my nephew in return I would get that muddy Mountaineer. Nephew promptly blew the engine because he didn't know to put oil in. Grrrrrrr that angered me. The Mountaineer is not subbly to me, but that Tracker is/was. Awwww I miss Theo!Get it? Theo the Geo hehehehe. Yeah. It's terribly early here and I need coffee.

don't need to drive especially as high as the gas and downtown parking prices are here

though it's not reliable sometimes, i take public transportation

01 VW Passat 4motion. A car I am never giving up. The front seats are heated and have adjustable lumbar cushions. I've been blessedly free of back pain since I bought it. If my back starts to hurt I sit in the car with the heated seats on for 20 minutes and then I'm fine. And if it's summer, then I put the ac on full while the seat heat is on high!

a bright red Honda CRV...i love that car, it's great in the snow and gets wonderful gas mileage, but when it is loaded to the gills and we go up the canyons to camp, sometimes we almost have to get out and push it up some of the steep inclines.

My car?

Aynne -> RE: What does a subby drive? (4/23/2008 5:38:37 AM)

Well I am inclined towards more ah masculine vehicles.  Since I live in Maine ( for now anyway) I drive an '06 Lincoln Mark LT 4WD, black and chrome, and in the nicer weather I drive an '01 Corvette C5, 6 spd, gorgeous yellow.  That would be today's drive since it is sunny and in the 60's which for Maine is downright tropical! Another 5 degrees and I am going topless........oh, the car that is, not the driver. Not yet anyway.[:D]

Depends on what feels like starting on any given day... hoping my ratbike will cooperate this morning. [&:]

My default is a Dodge Dakota with big-ass steel bumpers at both ends... Although pickup trucks seem Domly at first glance, they can also be very practical for getting work done, like a good service subby [8|]

I drive a Sentra, but my mother (who was totally dominant) drove the same exact car so I am not sure what that says.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: What does a subby drive? (4/23/2008 9:55:43 AM)

Fox has a new car and I never remember what it is. After the accident, his baby was totaed and he got his dads.
He occasionally, and nervously, drives my car, which is a Ford Taurus SES

I know the feeling.  When I bought my Volvo last year, I was so in love with the new Corvettes.  I contemplated long and hard about buying one, but decided that the Volvo was much more practical for what I needed it for.  It's not all bad, though.  A 345 hp engine, 35 mpg on the highway, all-wheel drive, sunroof, Bose sound system, 0 to 60 in about 5 seconds, and a smooth ride that would make a Mercedes or Caddy blush in shame...*sigh*

Plus, Mistress LOVES the Volvo!  [:D]
