Alpha and I had a "training" session with someone when we first started here who was ALL about protocol... to the point where when I did something wrong (mostly it was looking into Alpha's eyes), he told him that I needed to sleep on the floor. That doesn't work for us. We declined further interaction with this particular dom because we realized that our relationship is working out fine, "protocol" and "proper slave behavior" be damned. Even if I've been a bad girl, both of us still need our snuggle time in bed!

Sometimes to be a bastard Alpha will bark out the "kneeling attention!" order out of nowhere...actually, it usually happens when I have clothespins attached to the lady parts... I think the sadist in him likes watching me try to look graceful, lol.

What about laughing?

It's hard to laugh when the corset is so tight. Hell, I can barely breath much less laugh!

What about being spontaneous?

Hm.. I have a list around here somewhere.. where is that thing.. Ah, here it is. I have spontaneous penciled in for next Tuesday.

Is that like being naked because, I mean, we barely got rid of the snow. It's been literally below freezing here. Can't ya cut a girl a break with the nudity? Ya perv.

Why does it seem to be in CM all about strict protocol and formality?

You haven't spent enough time in the random stupidity threads.

We're high protocol. AND we have fun. Y'know... come to think of it. We're ALL messed up.. cause to us, high protocol IS fun.

Know what else? Living life without the protocol just simply confuses the hell out of me and I'm not even OCD. So, how do you explain that?

Takes all kinds - y'know?

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that others aren't having fun with it along the way. In fact, the ONLY thing it means is that  if meet someone who does enjoy protocol, you probably wouldn't be interested in him - and he wouldn't be interested in you. Your views of this life would probably be too far apart.

And if you're going to barf just cause you don't like how we live, could you do it in the bathroom? And clean up after yourself.

thank you very much.

mypain56 -> RE: Stand Up!..Sit Down...Kneel! (4/24/2008 5:39:18 AM)

well you know what they say about opinions!!!! i have ran across some extreme Dominants online in the past, demanding all kinds of things before they even get to know you or even meet you. Daddy and i talked and interacted for months before He worked into daily discipline,behavior modafications and 1000 word minimum essay's every week. But He certainly didn't come right off by telling me to knell while i was on the phone with Him, i mean how would He know for sure whether or not i was actually doing it unless i was on cam and i won't do that for quite sometime. Although after many months we do enjoy phone sex, but i am in the process of moving to His hometown so it will all good. But really online protocols and rituals are very unrealistic until you get to know that person and you have established trust.

The irony.... alot of people are forgetting about actually enjoying what they do.

OmegaG -> RE: Stand Up!..Sit Down...Kneel! (4/24/2008 8:26:16 AM)

the funny thing about human nature is that people tend to be the most vocal about the shit that irritates them the most.  Ironically when they are joyfully exuberant, they tend to share far less or regurgitate it for less time, but man, piss someone off and you will hear about it for years.  (I still hear about the woes I foisted on my sister in highschool and next year will be my 25th reunion, but I wonder if she can remember the good times she had?)

And why is that?  Well, it's partially culture, people don't like braggarts and when someone is singing thier song of joy people tend to think that they are bragging about their happiness, so from the time we are very young we are discouraged from being too happy (personally, I blame the Puritians).  But also, no matter what, it never seems to fail that when someone is having a glouriously marvelous time and they with to share their happiness they will stumble accross some curmudgeonly Eyeore that will make sure too haul their ass right back down to earth and shatter the baloon that they were riding high on.

So yeah, it's human nature to bitch and moan, to whine and piss because it never does anyone any good to be too damned happy and the only way we can remain happy is to keep it to ourselves.

Oh, and for what it's worth, sarcasm brings me happiness.

Siesumi -> RE: Stand Up!..Sit Down...Kneel! (4/24/2008 9:06:00 AM)

Ok, so it's been a long time since I posted on the boards and in fact was just collared to my Master less than 6 months ago, but for U/us, yes we have protocols, but we also have fun!  One of the requirements I had on my profile was "sense of humor"...how else can you have fun unless you can laugh at yourself?  I've been in this lifestyle for 7 years, been collared twice before and in neither of my other relationships did I have as much fun as I do with my Master...which to me, tells me I made the right choice...laugh, have fun...but this lifestyle is also about pleasing :)  So yay for me because Master understands well that His girls need down time and ya know what?  So does He

Great advice btw! ~smiles~

Her post was considerably less rude than yours.
Referring to how others may choose to live their lives with such comments as "<BARF>", "<BORING>" and "bullcrap" is hardly polite.  Strangely enough, it also violates the following forum guideline:
"This isn't a place to insult the kinks, preferences, lifestyles, etc. of others. If you don't like what another person enjoys, rest assured that there are plenty of others out there that probably don't like your activities either."
Please keep that in mind when posting in the future.
Thank you,
XI

It's also superstition. Somewhere along the line, people got the impression that if they said something about the joys in their lives, the devil would hear about it and wipe out the joy. My mother had that superstition, and I stubbornly refused to accede to it - we had many confrontations about it.

There's a story about someone expressing their happiness about a sparsely-populated freeway. Their passenger gasped and said, "Oh! Don't say anything! It'll turn into a parking lot."

I have a different take on it. Expressing my joy and happiness is in its own way a prayer of gratitude, and if the devil hears it, well, so does God.

pip, happy about a lot of stuff

OmegaG -> RE: Stand Up!..Sit Down...Kneel! (4/24/2008 12:43:38 PM)

I could blather on about the small things that bring me joy everyday, but for whatever reason, they rarely seem as newsworthy as the annoying events.  I mean I have a great kid and a great relationship and that is constant.  We laugh at the small thing every day.

Problems get alot of press because people need to ponder them before finding a solution and come back to happiness.  Drama gets press because it's contrary to the norm.

I mean sure, I can post the "my son acted like a clown just now and made me laugh" or "I was the most ungraceful clot today and we busted out laughing" but I also think that there is a part of all of us that thinks that nobody would really be interested in that sort of trivial stuff.

pettingdragons -> RE: Stand Up!..Sit Down...Kneel! (4/25/2008 5:32:06 AM)

i love the formal stuff...Master and i dont do it as often as i would like :)  i post lots of funny and fun loving stuff.....sure sometimes i get shit for it...but i dont take it personally...its interesting to see peoples reactions and how they take things...i recently posted about collaring my therapy dog (real dog not human puppy) and man that was a blast!!!  I got the "hell no's" and the WTFs and the animals lovers slaves who said "no pet no slave" LOL ...its all about how one starts the post..if it comes across crass or judgmental it will be taken that way...i am guilty of it...by jumping before realizing that maybe i should have taken the time to read the post from another point of view....**sigh**  sucks to be human...anyone want to be a pony?   giggles pamela(Master Dragon's considered slave)The world must welcome leaches.....They are after all............. blood suckers and very effective on bruises..........

What the hell!!!!If you can't take a joke, why are you here?????  No, really, sometimes on CM people can get ..whats the word..pomus as hell, but for everyone that is like that..I find 4 more that are just being themselves, and that I can live with.  Its the one out of 4 that gives us a bad taste to some people.  Just go out and have a little fun, and disregard the ones that get on Your last nerve

The title of the thread made me think of a cheer from school days...

Lean to the left
Lean to the right
Stand Up
Sit Down
Fight, Fight, Fight!!!

I might have to remember that the next time I feel sassy.

Get yourself a short pleated skirt, a letter sweater, and a pair of pom-poms. It just might lead to another kink for you and your partner.

pip, just trying to be helpful
