Sounds like one dom is pimping for the other.  If you bite it's a lucky day for one of them.

blondekitten being new does not neccesarily translate into being gullible. you really do know the answer to your  question.

you have been given good advice to your question, and the only thing i would like to add is look up subfrenzy. i still get a bit of it from time to time and i've been involved in BDSM  long enough to not call myself new and to know better, but it still happens. (dammit)

may we all find our bliss,
everhope

Pay attention to your "gut instinct".  If it does not feel right, or comfortable, it probably isn't.

Vigilantejustice -> RE: Trust via email (4/24/2008 1:26:27 PM)

Get involved in a RT group, ideally a munch. Get to know some real live people who you can connect with, regardless of their gender or orientation. Then at some point let them know you're looking. Ask them about that tall-dark-and-Domly fella at the other table who has caught your eye. Get references from people you trust. I've found that it can create some very fulfilling relationships, whether it's just friendship and casual play, or something deeper. If nothing else, having a munch where people know you can be a great place to have potential suitors meet up with you for the first time. At least then you know somebody has your back if Lord High Master Super-Dom turns out to be a lemon!

windchymes -> RE: Trust via email (4/24/2008 3:00:14 PM)

Trust me, no one on this site, or any site, is THAT amazing.

I mean, I got an amazing email from some dear sweet old woman today who is dying of cancer and wants to give ME $3.5 million!  She wants God's forgiveness for the wrongs she has committed in her life, and her dead husband worked hard all his life and left it all to her, and now she wants to pass it along....to ME!  All I have to do is contact her attorney!  Should I trust her?

OldBastardly1 -> RE: Trust via email (4/24/2008 3:57:19 PM)

Is she a generic old woman?

Actually, she's only 59.  Not even geriatric!

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Trust via email (4/24/2008 4:24:24 PM)

Don't make any commitments for at least six months.

windchymes -> RE: Trust via email (4/24/2008 4:51:00 PM)

But...but.....she could be dead by then!!!!  [&:]

stereotypo more likely.

OP - you've been given excellent advice. Dating sites of all flavors abound with people who are not what they say they are. Some are out to fleece you of your life savings, and some are out to get wanking material. The fact that he pulled his pics indicates something fishy.

Continue your search, but be more wise. Take your time and be patient.

pip, perfectly patient persistence

blondekitten -> RE: Trust via email (4/24/2008 6:49:54 PM)

Thank you so much, all of you, for your responses and good advice--I think I knew the answers before asking, but didn't want to be guilty of contempt prior to investigation--but then neither do I want to end up hacked into a million pieces or worse. Don't let the blonde hair fool you, I'm not a complete ninny, just wanted a little validation to my own very real concerns. Point taken.
