Status: offline 		I have been researching over the past few days since I started this thread.  I guess the Gorean philosophy is good for some, but it does not do anything for me.  I am less confused then I was before, but still not totally convinced that it is something worth pursuing any further.  Everyone has their own ideas, concepts & thoughts.  This is good.  I now, can kind of see where some of these people come from with their thoughts. 
But I think the long and short of it for me, it is not something I wish to pursue.  I believe in female supremacy and that is the long and short of it. 
Thank you all for your posts....it has been very educational for me and has helped me expand my horizons.

If you have read the books, you'll understand that there are "Free Women."  In general, they are feared by the female slaves because of their harshness!  The books talk about women of both the lower castes (companion to a fisherman or woodcutter) and those of a higher caste (merchant or physician) and discuss her role as a mother, companion, and the only female who can bear Free children of Gorean men to carry on their lineage.   Companions appear to be monogamous to one another, however, this does not preclude either from having use of slaves at their discretion.  Her position as a free woman is usually respected UNLESS she acts with overt disrespect or in a manner of a slave.  In that case, she would be stripped of her freedom and placed in chains. Depending on her home stone (town), she might be required to wear robes and/or veils of concealment, and have an escort.  Some freewomen kept male slaves (kajiru) and used them as silk slaves, for manual labor or fighting slaves and farmed them out to the pits for sport.

And LARP and SCA isn't too far off...and both are packed chock full of females wanting to role play.

And we all know that female-tailored leather armor gives a +2 circumstance bonus to mind control effects.

As to Gorean lifestyle and interactions:  because of the maleable nature of all human interactions, especially in a relatively open and flexible society like the one in modernized western nations, it's not really all that hard or strange for a woman to take Gorean ideals and switch the pro-nouns.  She'll probably have a hard time getting headway in that community though, if she's even interested in that.

P.S. On the subject of original ideas and authorship, everybody "steals" from everybody else, with rare exceptions of true muse-inspired genius.  Nature of the beast.


I realize you're straight and I'm not that bisexual myself.  That said, after reading this post, I'd like to fuck you.
