I actually realized that she figured out the range of her allowed movements as she dug the trench for the wire, so it became moot.

see.. thats what blindfolds are for ;)

If she was blindfolded, you could be sitting on the (figurative?) porch, telling her 'cold! warmer! HOT!" to direct her where to dig,.... that way she wouldnt know where, and the line wouldnt be linear *grin*

I thought about it, but the chance of her cutting off a toe with the shovel weighed heavlily in my decision, and besides have you ever tried to dig a straight line while being blindfolded?

It probably would have been more fun to watch it that way though...

but if ya don't have a straight line..wouldnt that make a more interesting... zzzzzzaaappppppppp...experience??

the toe vs. shovel is a good point though... perhaps have her on her knees using a trowel?

K, heres a serious one...
For us parameters are only useful in setting up the initial rules for everyday contact and the like. Beyond that I refuse to micromanage and I leave everything else up to the boys and their best judgement.
AS for Perimeters, they know not to wander off on their own or they are going to be put on a leash

In a wired slave/sub containment system, you bury an antenna, or "wire," around the area of enclosure, or perimeter. A transmitter in your garage monitors the perimeter. Your slave/sub wears a receiver collar. If they crosses the boundary created by the wire, they receives corrective stimulation by electric current. By negative reinforcement, your slave/sub learns to stay within the perimeter.

Wouldn't that actually be a wireless slave/sub containment system?  It certainly sounds better than the wired system I've been using with the bungee cords locked to their collars and bolted to a central post in the yard.  This system works ok with one slave, but with multiples I'm always just getting settled in my easy chair when I hear them whimpering out in the yard and I have to go out and untangle them.

It's a sad sad day when a few slaves cannot work out how to untangle their own bungee cords...........

I apoligize, for not knowing what I meant or how to spell it prior to posting. Please forgive me. Slrn is correct again my fault. I get to typing sometimes and my letters come out wrong. I suppose when my Dominant mentioned ( boundries) maybe I should of looked it up instead of making a fool of myself. Again I'm sorry. And guess after 7 years, I haven't learnt anything after all the training and studying I have experienced.

Thank you again

Are you sure you do not have a defective key board?   I know the key board must be the reason I make spelling mistakes and typos.

The wireless doesn't require a wire to be installed around the boundaries, it is a central hub sort of like a wireless router, and once the collar travels outside of the range you set it corrects the behavior.  That is the difference between a wired and wireless, it has nothing to do with the correction collar, just how one defines the area allowed.

Well let me tell you what I use as an example. Walking to the end of a cliff..first you go 3 feet away...then you creep 2 feet from the edge... then 1 foot...this is where you freak out no closer you say..iam scared... boundery found!
or in some cases...1 foot away.....hell here i come and you run and jump!

Nice, you could literally shorten the leash by turning a rheostat behind a vault door.
