Status: offline 		Today an incredibly stupid move on the part of a lifestyle member occurred. At my Subby / Wife's work a newly colared sub was visited by her new Dom. He proceded to order her to her knees in front of co-workers that were unaware of her lifestyle. She refused, he began to BEAT her and the police needed to be called. The woman lost her job because of the violence this MORON brought to her place of employment.

Status: offline 		its ppl like him that give the rest of us bad names.. as soon as the phrase BDSM comes up with that story ppl will say "well u know thoes sickos.. disgusting" in my opinion.. if hes so stupid as to not realize not every one likes bdsm or wants to see it.. hes a moron and isnt a real dom/master/top... hes a kid playing with a human toy. i hope he goes to jail.. maybe then hell be ont he other end of some orders.

Status: offline 		Fired for being beaten by your bf at work? Sounds like an easy case to file for unemployment. Anyhow, this is a stupid so called dom. I hope the sub is now collar free as in handing the collar back to the idiot and telling him where he can shove it. For me and my wife/sub, there's a time and place for everything and there's nothing that needs to be done in public to prove her loyalty to me.

Status: offline 		Ugh. Hanable is EXACTLY right. Idiots like this is why BDSM is still viewed with suspicion and disgust by many. Couple that with the ridiculous, almost cultish "secrecy" attitude some people get about BDSM, and we are screwed. That retard fully deserves any charges brought up against him.

On a side note... people don't realize how bad the whole cliquish attitude hurts the public view of BDSM. Should you go out waving your flogger everywhere, and popping small children in the eye with a singletail? No. But then again, should you do what I've seen many "lifestylers" (for lack of a better word, I know it's not totally appropriate, there are some really cool people that identify as lifestyle) do, and only associate with kinky people, look down on "Vanillas" and have that general pompous attitude? No... wtf good is that?

There are many people in my life that -if they don't know that I'm a pro-sub, they at least know I'm a little deviant occasionally. They ask questions, I answer them honestly, but I don't go into detail, and I don't try for the shock factor. Why? Because the more the general public knows about something, the less likely they are to jump on a bandwagon and judge it. I'd say at least 90% of the people I have conversations with about kink-related topics, look favorably on it.

When that idiot went to her place of work, and started beating up on her, he PERMANENTLY skewed everyone that saw/heard about it. You really think they will ever look upon bdsm or any kind of M/s relationship in a positive light after this? Ugh, Darwin Award candidate right  there.

There seems like there might be a bit more to the story... it didn't happen to get picked up by the press did it?

I have a related story...  a man took his wife, a AAA office employee,  by the arm while telling her she didn't have to work anymore because he got a raise.  She said she didn't want to quit her job and reluctantly followed him as he escorted her out of the AAA cube farm.  There was no scuffle or yelling. 

The Detroit police arrested him a few miles away because someone called police from AAA.  Even though his wife didn't want to press charges, the state picked then up because of office witness testimony saying she didn't want to quit.  He copped to a plea of kidnapping and got probation.

But back on topic.....while I am sure there is a bit more here, I have met dillweeds like is described in this story, so I am not that surprised. Usually it is a person that has very limited real time experience and is trying their best to appear as the real deal. It always annoys me when people with almost no experience act like they are the newest authority on the block. But then again, I am easily annoyed.
Newbies should remember....we have 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason.

Status: offline 		The grounds for termination is as you said, for the Violence brought to the workplace, and depending on the state may or may not be legal and defensable, the safety of the rest of the employees must be taken into consideration as well. That does not mean that the Employer was right, just that they may be able to justify it. What the man does once, he may do again and he may potentially involve others in the office next time maybe their thinking.

Unless he walked in yelling "Slave to your Knees"..how would they know that it was BDSM related? Someone had to make it known either before, during or after for it to be connected to BDSM by anyone other than those involved or in the know. Purely Vanilla people have also made demands, offered violence or embarrassed their SO in the work place without anyone connecting it to BDSM.

Status: offline 		What a nightmare for her!  The original humiliation would be one thing, but then to be physically assaulted on top is terrible.  On top of all that to lose her job due to the misbehavior of another?  I can't imagine what this poor woman must be doing through.  It is a bad reflection on all of us in the lifestyle, and will no doubt be sensationalized.  I hope that police were called on the man at the very least.

Of course if he got arrested then she was there alone. hehe.

Status: offline 		If it's a "right-to-work" state, like North Carolina, they can fire you without a reason and without notice.  Labor laws won't do a thing for you here on that one!  Of course, the worker can, by the same law, quit without a reason and without notice.  But of course, employment contracts usually ask for 2 weeks.

Status: offline 		carolsea this is a right to work state... it was my place of employment and she was fired for the endangering others around her (creating hostile work environment)... bringing violence to the area... she was on the back patio on a smoke break when he arrived and wanted his proper greeting... those that think it is bullshit may want to read other relates stories this is not unusual... just another stupid asshole thinking he is a dom and isnt even close kind of like some of the people on this site
