I wish to extend My most heartfelt thanks to ALL concerned, for the fine much needed profile advice given Me!!!  My profile is yet to be perfect,  BUT as a result of the changes I've already made,  I'm about to meet a most special submissive, whose beauty literally takes My breath away,  NOT to at all infer that ALL submissives aren't most special creatures of beauty and being, as you most definitely are.   To say the very least, I'm a very happy camper,  and am most appreciative.  Wish Me luck and have a WONDERFUL weekend everyone!!!   Respectfully Yours in the Lifestyle,  Olaf

Too bad you didn't post this in your original thread.  But congrats anyway, that's a much improved profile and pic....  Still, you've gotta have a word with whoever it is that keeps cutting the top of your head off - major photography faux pas...!  lol

I didn't comment on your original post (didn't have anything more to say than others already had), but it's really just nice to see that someone asked for advice, didn't argue over each point, and embraced some of the suggestions.

I'd like to hazard a guess that it isn't the changes you've made solely but the good spirit you displayed towards all the criticism you received. That's rare and a sign of a good person. Congrats.

DATE UPDATE!!!  Well folks, once again the meeting didn't happen, and probably due to My mention of our meeting in a casual restaurant setting, and not at a finer establishment.  Therefore it is necessary for Me to make mention in My profile of My financial position, being that of a disabled veteran on fixed income, so as to attract a more down to earth financially secure submissive woman, who wishes a great hearted Dom/Master, for all of the RIGHT reasons.  SO, it's now back to the drawing board on the profile, and just need to try a bit harder.  And FOCUS, the reason why the top of My head continues to get cut off in My photos, is that I have no one to take the photos for Me, and have to do the Self Timer method with My digital camera.  I'm not trying to hide anything like bald spots, as I have ALL of My hair, with very little if any grey.  FOCUS My Friend, one other thing, is that I was thinking of posting My thank you on the original thread, but didn't know if everyone would see it, so created this special separate thread IN HOPES it would be noticed/read.  Will now post My thank you on the original thread as well.  Thanks again, and have a great day/eve, depending on time zone!!!  Olaf

Sheesh, she expected fine dining on a first date?  Plenty would be happy with a casual coffee shop setting.  I hate dealing with those timers, it often takes many pictures before I get one I like.

Most of us meet first time in a Starbucks, frequently a Starbucks inside a Barnes and Noble. As you can read a magazine while you're hoping the other won't chicken out.

As far as money goes, that shouldn't matter. Most people I know are limited in their discretionary funds.

Sorry that the meet didn't happen but don't assume that she backed out because you weren't taking her somewhere fancy.  Most of my first meetings are at a casual cafe or something similar...that gives each person plenty of opportunity to make a quick exit "oh I just realised, I only have time for a coffee' rather than having to sit through a 3 course meal.  A lot of first meetings don't eventuate because one person gets cold feet, their partner finds out, their parents ground them [:D] etc etc. 
The changes to your profile are great.

i'm another casual cafe on the first meeting person. and i don't drink coffee, either - this is why starbucks has tea. :) i have to second the bookstore suggestion as well.

Lol....I'm not meeting anyone for the first time at one of them thar fancy resterrrawnts...Clean silverware and shit...No fuckin' way. She's lucky if the water doesn't give her the squirts..(the bad kind of squirts). A cup of joe or a drink and then we split. If there is an immediate connection and we've got the time ...Who knows where it might go?

I never saw the original thread but I wish you luck in your search and she obviously wasn't the right one for you...I did meet my special man at a very nice restaurant on our first date but it was his idea and i would have been happy to meet at a place not so costly... but good food is a good conversation topic too....yum!
