if i really want to do some good -journaling- i have found a paper journal is best for me. unfortunately, like greedytop, i am le suck at sticking to them, and i have never been with a partner who pushed me to do it. i'm much more dedicated to online journals, which is to say, not very. i have both a livejournal (friends only rarely posted in) and a blogger (public, updated almost daily), and i like both services and find them pretty easy to use. i've also used almost every other service over the years from wordpress to greymatter to freeopendiary, LOL. i tend to stick with blogger for public stuff and livejournal for private stuff, though wordpress is nice also for public blogs. nothing beats a paper journal for thoughtful relationship journaling though. eta: if you decide to go the paper journal route, i'd totally recommend moleskines! unless you are comfortable with the normal cutesy journals from the bookstore (which are lovely, don't get me wrong), moleskine has a lot of different options and are easily dressed up/decorated or very sleek and easy to fit into a purse or wherever if left as they come. plus the cover's all soft! and they have various kinds from ruled to quad-ruled to blank to sketchbook to reporter's notebook to like, everything. :) no, they don't pay me to say this.
