Just starting out with my sub and I am looking for some good collars. I need one that she can wear all the time w/o people necessarily knowing what it is. Other collars I want for play. Also, where can I find good quality BDSM collars...I don't want to waste money on crap, ya know. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Primemaster85,I've been making this type of collar longer than anyone and just added a Stealth collar to my line. It's intended to slip under the radar of vanilla friends and curious co-workers. Maybe you'll find something appropriate on my site. http://www.ringofsteel.netGood Luck in your search.

Axmar.....  we went with an eternity collar and the fit and finnish was poor/bad. the plating was so thin it wore off in a month and caused skin reactions to my slave.

A collar that she can wear all the time that won't raise suspicion with co-workers and family, etc.? Let me think real hard on this..........ummmm.....perhaps........a necklace? Maybe an ear-ring? Or possibly a toering?  Nevermind...that would just be too freaking simple.

Well nothing on your list would be a collar which he is looking for, now would it?

Nope, and they probably were not made to seem more than they are in a fiction book either. But they are, like a collar is supposed to be, a symbol with deep meaning that represents the relationship and commitment between a D-type and a s-type. They can be worn anywhere without raising questions. But you don't make & sell those, do you?

You are correct OldBasterly1! I have also stated in many other posts that a collar is only an outwardly symbol of what is in the heart. Not a week goes by that I don't get asked about wearing a collar in public. My wife has worn collars of different types for over 30 years. In fact I posted a photo of her first collar on another thread where I encouraged people to try and make their own collar. She has never had a negative reaction, partially due to her positive aura about wearing a collar. You are also correct when you say I sell collars but I try and reassure those that have questions as well and that is why I came up with the Stealth collar.

I have purchased a collar from VadFarkas over a year ago and found it to be a high quality exceptional piece. I would gladly recommend his workmanship to anyone looking .

Thank you for the endorsment Sirandlil1 it is appreciated.
Today I made a collar for a friend as a gift. She had an heirloom turquoise ring that was too big for her hand and wanted me to attach it to a collar. I chose one of my magnetic closing to make it even more "vanilla". We are both happy with the results. Judge for yourself that even a hard core collar can slip under the radar of the curious.http://www.ringofsteel.net/images/turqmerge.jpg

There are many craftsmen on this website. i'm sure you could find someone (us for example) that could make you a matched set. One that's discrete, and one that's for BDSM play. As for your discrete one... in my experience, it's always been the leather collars that get people's attention and raise the eyebrows. So you could try one made from lace, beadwork, tiny jewelry chains, even really thin leather, etc.

And for those who care... the symbolism of wearing a collar isn't just a symbol of the dedication and comittment. There's a symbol for wearing it around the neck. It's between the brain ( a person's mind ) and their heart. All necessities of life must pass through it ( air, food, drink, blood ) as they're dispersed throughout the entire body. The collar is a circle, representing the continuous flow of all that's in the relationship. Supposedly... never ending. Just some food for thought.

I make chainmaille jewellry including collars (I made my own).

There are many maille weaves(patterns) that can be used and I can help you to design something that will look both interesting and give the feeling of a collar. It can be lockable if you want or something she can remove if needed at work (eg if she works in the food industry it may need to be removed for safety or for legal reasons).

I use Stainless Steel (nice and heavy), Bright Aluminium (a third of the weight of steel), Copper, Bronze, Brass and Sterling Silver.

I love wearing my maille - its so cold when you put it on, (try a cold winter morning straight after a hot shower...mmmmm) but after a while it heats up to your body temperature and becomes a PART of you.

The cost would be dependant on the number of rings needed and the type of metal - Obviously Silver is more expensive than Steel or Aluminium. But as everything I make are one offs - it would be definitely unique!

If you are interested, drop me an email.

Something you might consider; depending on the purpose of the collar I seldom use one other than as a piece of equipment to work with.
Rather I use a locking plug harness to keep the "symbol" of Ownership constant.
If you are unfamiliar I mean a leather strap around the waist with attached strap running between legs which I can use with one or two plugs or none at all.
This fits under most clothing and makes the Ownership immediate and constant as required.
Just a thought and unless be out is the focus it is XXXtreamly effective.

Enjoy your wonder-filled day

i am permanently chain with Master's chain maille collar, wrist and ankle cuffs, plus i have silver locks on each.  A large number of vanilla and BDSM women have wanted to know where they were made and love them.
Master's property, slave tori.
