Hello Everyone, I read Stephann's well written post for "men on how to meet women on here" and I'd like to say it was quite well written, kudo's to you! Though I did notice a lot of it you would think would be common sense, but then again as the saying goes, "Common sense is a whole lot less common than you think!" Anyway, if the people on this forum would be kind enough to fill this out I think it may help some of the more reluctant and non photogenic of us. I have to admit I originally took a look at only photo profiles despite not having a photo myself. I have since changed my ways and I openly look at both. Thanks for your time, -Decimus (Stephann this isn't my real name like yours however it is a reference to me from my story and something to which I would respond because it is a nickname that I use.) Edited: If anyone would like to critique my profile please feel free. (Yes I do realize I need a picture however I do not have an updated one.)

I don't particularly look for anyone except regulars in here. If I were here to hook up, I'd look at both as long as what was written in the profile interested me.

When I was on the "regular" dating sites, I only looked at ads with photos. But in here, given the nature of this site and the need for discretion on some's parts, including my own, I'm totally open to at least starting communication with those having profiles without photos. As long as we're willing to swap in e-mails, I have no problem with it.

i have to say that yes i do look at photos. however, those that show themselves in a butchers window manner, simply show me that they are not what floats me boat. besides, i have little interest in owning something the whole world has seen in graphic detail. also, a lot of the naked shots show that whatever the subject is wearing, obviously wants ironing Mike

I'm one of those that prefers photos but will look at those without. I'm much more likely to contact someone with a photo and with those who don't, ask for one after we start emailing or arrange a meeting shortly. Seeing someone and how they present themselves can tell a lot about them, also I like to be able to "see" who I'm talking to when in my mind's eye when I'm corresponding.

on your profile, i couldn't give a damn either way. now if you e-mail me showing interest, then there better be a picture with your face in it for me to see, or else i send it to the garbage bin, and i dont' care how well written the profile and the e-mail is!

I like pictures but not required. I have to admit that I am a bit of a perv and if there is a hot pic over there <---------------- I will look at the profile. I try to at least skim over any profile that I open. I did message one sub here that did not have a photo, we met, we did more, and I now consider her friend.

when i was looking, i looked at profiles and answered emails of dominants both who had photos, and those who didnt. i've tried to be polite in all the emails i answer, although sometimes its just impossible. i like knowing what the person i'm talking to looks like...although it is not absolutely necessary for a first contact. kitten

As i almost never initiate contact, i will converse with pretty much anyone - providing they're not just sending a flaming email for whatever reason. That said, if they talk about what it is that i happen to be looking for, i always ask for a pic... i figure they probably felt a small amount of attraction when looking at my pics - i deserve the same in return... after all, if there's no physical attraction, i may not want to go any further than chatting as friends - and i'm always upfront in admitting that. Some have called me shallow - and that's ok - i can live with that knowing that i'm at least being honest.

Hell, I so rarely look at a profile that the whole pic thing is sorta moot. I usually only look at profiles from people who spark my intrigue in the forums. Other than that... If you aint a featured profile, I am thinking you probably won't see me on your recent viewers list.

I only look at profiles on the other side that have pictures. I'm shallow. I've asked many on this side for pictures just because I like having a face to the words. Most happily send one to me. Domi did make me beg for quite a while though and it's annoying as hell when someone only sends one and he has sunglasses on in it.

i look at both profiles, no pics and pics. But if one was to message me, i would want a photo. Not being shallow, but i just like to see who is messaging me. i don't like when i get pics of body parts, what i like are face shots and shots of interest, for example, them with a pet, car, in a group setting like a party.

Now the profiles i just skip over; the ones that have nothing but "seeking........." and don't have any likes, dislikes, information about themselves other then the stats.

I guess I'm wading in the shallow ends as well. But then, I don't normally go looking... they just pop up on the 'Home' page. If someone strikes my fancy, I drop them a note. Not really fishing... just "Damn! You're hot." Why the hell not? All the HNG's do it to me. Figured the guys might like it for a change. Most - ok, almost all of the men/boys that I write to regularly wrote to me first. I'm not always sure what makes some stand out from the crowd, but two of my favorites do not have pics. One has never sent me a pic at all.
