"State moves to ban fake testicles on vehicles"

Fri Apr 25, 2008 12:03pm EDT

By Michael Peltier

"TALLAHASSEE, Florida (Reuters) - Senate lawmakers in Florida have voted to ban the fake bull testicles that dangle from the trailer hitches of many trucks and cars throughout the state.

Republican Sen. Cary Baker, a gun shop owner from Eustis, Florida, called the adornments offensive and proposed the ban. Motorists would be fined $60 for displaying the novelty items, which are known by brand names like "Truck Nutz" and resemble the south end of a bull moving north."

You do see a lot of those here.

cjan -> RE: "State moves to ban fake testicles on vehicles" (4/28/2008 4:24:04 PM)

Typical. And so funny that this legislation should be proposed by a gun shop owner in a state where it is now legal, not only to carry a concealed wepon to work in your car, but legal to blow someone away when one "feels threatened".

That makes me think, if the gun shop guy feels threatened by the fake balls swinging beneath the truck, why not just blow the offending driver's ass away and be done with it ?

I suppose now, I will have to get a real set of balls for my pick-em-up. Sigh, no problemo.

like there's nothing more important to deal with, like crime and poverty and "little" issues like that!

I want some!
Where do I get 'em?
I'll hang em off the back of my Mercury Grand Marquis!
And I'll paint a nickname on the back of my car too; "Dog Balls."
I want some BIG ones though that hang down to an inch or two of the road surface!  (To "compensate" for my small penis of course!)

That's not what the law says, no matter how many times you say it.

Care to enlighten me, stef ?

maybe we should cover them up with the baggy pants - - oh wait - those are illegal as well.
Damn!  Soon we will have to cover our couch legs.

You've altered the relevant 'reasonably feels that their life is in imminent danger', to an overly simplistic, and therefor incorrect, 'when one feels threatened'.  One may be part of the other, but they aren't interchangeable in the context of what the law says or means.

Slave2Bob -> RE: "State moves to ban fake testicles on vehicles" (4/28/2008 6:07:09 PM)

LMFAO- I see these every day. They come in colors- light and dark flesh tones, brass, chrome, and of course, blue. A certain gun shop owner needs to remove the stick from his butt, and lighten up. Or move to an area with less redneck density.

I heard it yesterday morning, and did just what Venaval's doing up there!

We see them around here too, mostly on lifted 4WD pickups.

And what about the companies that make candy holders out of scrotums?  I'm serious, they got these!

Okay I have a pair of said Chorme Balls... and I am rather proud of them. If someone is going to be so hypocritical of someone having a good time and free expression..then what is life coming to ???? Come on .. they are fake testicles!! You might as well ban the "I'm with Stupid" shirts as well... Come on its not like we drove down to the slaughter house and picked up a REAL pair of nuts to hang off the bumper!!! Please.... its all in fun.. maybe the guy who proposed the law.. is upset that the testicles he sees are BIGGER and much Prettier than his own .. not to mention more virlie than his own !!!

angelicbitch -> RE: "State moves to ban fake testicles on vehicles" (4/28/2008 6:28:05 PM)

oh and by the way ... if you don't like my balls.. then stop following me around :)

That's very funny. Try defending your positions in a Florida court. "Feeling threatened". or, if you prefer,'reasonably feels that their life is in imminent danger', is a subjective state, isn't it ? Ok, we can split hairs on whether someone who has pulled the trigger had a reasonable "cause" to feel threatened. I'd still like to have a front row seat in a Florida court to hear y'all argue that , based on the current law.

Don't suppose for a second that Florida judges (or the USSC) interpret things the way you have.

Nobody is allowed to pull the trigger merely because they 'feel threatened'...your assertion is bogus.. the standard for deadly force is quite clear.
