ORIGINAL: Aynne It sounded to me like ownedgirlie already was aware of the WalMart practices and was merely agreeing, as in she already does not shop at Walmart. Could be wrong, but that is how I read it. We will have to wait for her updated reply[;)] Have to agree with SM and the others tho, walmart doesn't just sell an abundance of poorly made cheap plastic shit, there labor practices here and globally are atrocious. Sure, it costs a little more to but locally, or american made, but in the long run, you know, thinking of the bigger picture, it costs far less. www.watchwalmart.com .....disgusting. Yes, Aynne, you read me correctly. Walmart has a history of forcing companies to sell at lower prices than they can afford. They are the biggest distrubutor of goods in this country, and companies who can not sell through Walmart suffer in their competition for sales in this country. Since most companies can not afford to manufacture goods in this country and still meet Walmarts pricing requirements, they move their manufacturing to offshore, as cheaply as possible. We see so many people complaining that American jobs are being given away, but anyone who shops there is supporting this business practice. Don't believe me? Google Rubbermaid / Walmart and see what you find. They almost took Rubbermaid off the map. Walmart pretty much makes the rules in this country on retail practices. If anyone wants to shake their heads in amazement, shake it at Walmart, not at someone who wishes to shop according to conscious. Thanks, Aynne, for posting the Walmart link, and for thinking through enough to know I wouldn't make decisions based on a sarcastic comment on a BDSM board. [;)]
