Professor   =  Pride

Mr Howl  =  Greed

Mrs Howl  =  Sloth

Mary Anne  =  Envy

Ginger =  Lust

The Skipper  = Anger and Gluttony.

So what does that make Gilligan?

Satan because he fucks up the rescues and he wears a red shirt!

I have to agree with this. It's always been a mystery to me why Pride was one of the sins and Stupidity was not. It seems to me if there was more pride in what people did we would not be turning out the crap we are today and the damn bike wouldn't have to go back to the stealership after picking it up because the "technician" forgot to tighten something and then on the second try to get home the new brakes fail.... Oops sorry I got a little carried away.

This is a long story about why I take this bike back to the Stealership. My other bike I built from the ground up and it has never seen the inside of a stealership. http://www.ringofsteel.net/images/fafnir.jpg
Funny thing was that the brakes worked great but slowly started to fail. I just beat a huge storm home, so didn't want to go back a second time. When I called they offered top pick me up with a trailer but I'm going to tear it apart and have a look myself.

Well it wan't that bad since this was the rear brake and most of the braking is done with the front.
But then I rode the chopper 15 years with no front brake. I finally designed and built the dual disc front end for the chopper because some guy told me it can't be done. hahaha
The Proffesor would have built the front end out of Bamboo!

very nice

He who says something cannot be done should stay out of the way of the person doing it

Thanks GT... what happened to yours?
Did you get to see the album?
We did a lot of riding on that bike. Irene's dad had a saddle shop and made some saddle bags for it. After I got my Heritage Springer my bagger friends asked why I didn't get a turing bike with all the riding we do. I said after all those years on the chopper... this is a turing bike. When I built it there weren't many choppers, now they are all over.
So I wonder how many of the Seven Sins were broken in this thread?

Vad.. it was a 77 Lowrider. The original owner had (as it turns out) stroked it from 74 to 86 (and neglected to tell the dealership where he put it for consignment).  He didn't make any adjustment to the trans for the added power.

Ultimately, it just got to be too much for the old girl, and she essentially shredded her guts *sob* (on 405, heading south, about 25 ft from the top of the hill).

First off I'm gonna misspell so please over look that.
Had a great day on the bike and stopped for a few cocktails.
Irene's folks lived on 19 in Clearwater, so we did a lot of riding your way.
Not sure where 405 is.
Rode down to the Keys a few times also. We loved Florida and have a ton of great memories!!!!
Maybe that is why I liked to wach Gilligan's Island.... Nah I don't think so. hehehehe
Sure wished we could have hooked up with you then for a ride but looks like that will never happen now.
My bike started out as a '78-1/2 Low Rider, Stock 80 inch.
