ORIGINAL: christine1 i haven't been to walmart in a few years because i kept getting overcharged for things. i watch the register like a hawk when i'm shopping, and every single time, something would ring up for a higher price than was marked. out of sheer desperation before my daughters surprise bday party last night i ran over for some candles and onions. yup, both items overcharged, the onions by 6 dollars? When i pointed out the error to the cashier she was so rude to me that my son who was with me stepped in, what a big cute galoot he is! anyhoo, this caught the attention of a wandering manager who came over and defended the over pricing saying i must have read the prices wrong and that there was no way there could be a mistake in their computers. i'm sorry but a 5 lb bag of onions that is clearly marked as 1.67 and then rings up as 7 bucks...i checked the onions and they were not gold plated. i asked for my money back, then they told me i'd have to go to the customer service counter to do that. i took my overinflated receipt there and waited in line behind the 20 people in front of me who looked pissed. finally i walked out, losing the ten bucks they charged me...no more i tell ya, i'll never go back there again even if they are just down the street. dealing with them was difficult and frustrating...is it a fucking blonde thing or what? good grief, how many people don't catch these little mistakes and wallyworld walks away with a bulge in their pants? You gave your daughter some onions for her birthday? [:D] It is irritating when Wal Mart, or anyone, does that, we work too hard for our money.
