What is Mahogany? Mahogany is a discussion group for Adult People of Color who enjoy BDSM (Bondage & Discipline / Sadomasochism) and the people who love them…

We meet once a month for a group discussion in the San Francisco East Bay. We also have online discussions covering all topics of sexuality, with a primary focus on BDSM.

The mission of Mahogany Pleasures of Darkness is to provide an entry point, and forum for African American, and other people of color, who are Dominants, Submissives, and Switches, or new to BDSM to meet and exchange ideas.

I am a bit confused.... if I am white, this is not for me?

What if I am a white male/female only interested in dateing people of color.

What if by true definition I really am not white anyway, I am caucasion. White is a color that is rarely what a caucasion person is. Don't believe me, get a box of crayons, take out the one marked "white" and hold it next to every caucasion person you encounter. You would be hard pressed to find many that matched the crayon. So I guess I would be of color, am I welcome to attend? Will I be met with the same welcome as other people of color? Or would I be ignored or possibly barred from attending?


If I were to put up a link or form a group for "caucasion" only, would you cry racism? Would it piss you off?

As a person that believes people are people no matter what race, political,religious, or sexual catagory they may fall into, and that everyone is EQUAL. I find this entire concept of "people of color" groups bullshit. And do believe you may be setting yourselves up for a lawsuit.

While I certainly am in no position to dictate to others what to do here, I would cordially invite further discussion of this topic on a thread I started on the BDSM General side
