I think they could do better now..... and I think they're supposed to be seriously considering a JLA flick.

Ugh...... when it works, it's great, but when it doesn't, we get Daredevil. There was no excuse to fuck that up.....

Daredevil turned out better than The Punisher. I just loved how they killed Frank Castle's family off (all of them, including his extending family [8|]) thus making him not care about death and become The Punisher....then halfway through the movie they give him a brand new family and we're supposed to believe he still wants to die avenging his other family.

Yeah, Punisher is another example of something good gone awry.....

If they could just get the suits in Hollywood to stop fucking around with the creative types, these things would be less likely to happen, I think.

I didn't hate Daredevil, I just took it in stride as what liberties Hollywood can sometimes take with the heroes. I do sometimes wonder why they can be almost completely true in the case of Iron Man, and then bastardize The Punisher so much.

Though many hated The Hulk, to the point that Hollywood kinda 'retracted' it (instead saying it was a one-shot deal and the upcoming one was more of its own, true-comic entity), I thought it was decent, although not the 'true' hulk. I am still glad they're re-doing it, though since the new movie looks SWEET.

I never saw Elektra, though I heard that was another "oops" from Hollywood. The others were close enough to their source material to make their changes acceptable. Though I still find it annoying they 86'ed not only Professor X, but Cyclops AND Jean Grey in the X-Men series. I guess by the time I saw those movies, I was already used to their being 50 different versions of the X-Men (after the various "X-Men" comics AND the animated series) that I kind of just accepted that the movie went 'its own way' in the X-Men mythos. (Well it was that AND the fact that they finally let Wolverine, Iceman AND Colossus kick some ass, all of whom I liked better than the others anyway.)

At least (in my opinion) the three biggies are true: Iron Man, Spiderman (except for 3) and Ghost Rider. So long as the new Hulk movie does what I think it will, it can be added to that list as well.

I also enjoyed the fact that the soundtrack wasn't pimped out as a jukebox for the latest top 40 drivel from Hinder or Daughtry, but was instead scored to fit  the action... with a few obvious exceptions.

ok...so I know what I am going to be doing this weekend....

Popcorn and cinema..here I come!

I too remember seeing Star wars as a 12 yr old...it was the first movie I saw more than once in the cinema.... even now..that rumble and my heart races.
Slight aside but I was driving my kids to kinder and school the other day when my 4 yr old started humming something in the back seat...I couldn't work out what it was then it hit me... it was the Darth Vader March...good girl!!

THANK YOU for warning me about the ending credits sequence.

If I'd missed out on it, I'd have to stave my forhead in with a tomohawk.  Missile.

That... so... rocked...
