ORIGINAL: Level Yeah, Punisher is another example of something good gone awry..... If they could just get the suits in Hollywood to stop fucking around with the creative types, these things would be less likely to happen, I think. I didn't hate Daredevil, I just took it in stride as what liberties Hollywood can sometimes take with the heroes. I do sometimes wonder why they can be almost completely true in the case of Iron Man, and then bastardize The Punisher so much. Though many hated The Hulk, to the point that Hollywood kinda 'retracted' it (instead saying it was a one-shot deal and the upcoming one was more of its own, true-comic entity), I thought it was decent, although not the 'true' hulk. I am still glad they're re-doing it, though since the new movie looks SWEET. I never saw Elektra, though I heard that was another "oops" from Hollywood. The others were close enough to their source material to make their changes acceptable. Though I still find it annoying they 86'ed not only Professor X, but Cyclops AND Jean Grey in the X-Men series. I guess by the time I saw those movies, I was already used to their being 50 different versions of the X-Men (after the various "X-Men" comics AND the animated series) that I kind of just accepted that the movie went 'its own way' in the X-Men mythos. (Well it was that AND the fact that they finally let Wolverine, Iceman AND Colossus kick some ass, all of whom I liked better than the others anyway.) At least (in my opinion) the three biggies are true: Iron Man, Spiderman (except for 3) and Ghost Rider. So long as the new Hulk movie does what I think it will, it can be added to that list as well.
