i am apparently in the direct path...but at least i am now off from work tomorrow (and most likely, Wednesday, as well...)  if my internet holds up...life should be good.  However, if i lose power.....FUCK!!!! 

On the bright side,the weeuns and i have non-perishables, candles, boardgames, books and batteries up the wazoo!!! So at the worst, campout a few nights.  And dad is totally fine with not making them spend Wed. night with him as they usually do, YAY!!!!

You might want to add to that note that I'm also above the "if all of Greenland's ice melts away" level of the global warming theorists.

Not sure it the house will be above the "if all of the polar ice melts away" level, though I do think the two story house a couple of doors down may be; at least their second story should be.

Oooh, here is some great paranoid fun: check out the loss of land as sea levels rise.

Just click a few times on the Tampa area to zoom in and then select a new sea level and refresh the map. Just one meter will create plenty of havoc.
