Here's how i do it.....
 
1) Click on QUOTE
2) In the new window with the quote - scroll down to the very bottom and
look for the last  (slash) Quote in the brackets.
3) Position your cursor AFTER the closing bracket and press ENTER once to get a new line.
4) Now type your response.

In computers it is like a lot of other things - there's the begin and the end. 
For instance, with brackets it's [ and ].
In math and EXCEL formulas you always had to have matching ( and ) .    ex. (A1 + (B1*C1))
 
In HTML and other "markup languages" you have
head and /head
title and /title
body and /body
style and /style and many more. 
 
Notice that the ending is the same word as the beginning BUT with a SLASH.  Everything inside is part of the "box".
 
i hope that isn't TMI.

Glad i could help.  Some days i go into "teacher" mode.
 
Now...how do we make GT smile? 
They already tried turning the "Do Not Disturb" signs around.
They have already had videos and pics of cute kittens (kittehs?).

I could be mistaken, but isnt this thread a little outdated???  I mean GT is married now... by her own choice!! No shotgun wedding, no drunk weekend in Vegas, etc...
 
I'm hoping he's making her smile everyday!!!
 
And if not, it appears he's got a LOT of people to answer to...
(that oughta make her smile....)
 
Seriously, GT, I wish you both eons of happiness...Happy 5 month anniversary (a day or 2 late, and the requisite dollar, short)

It's NEVER outdated when it comes to making GT smile, that's always a goal & yes, she is married but uanble to be with the Pirate so she's not always smiling.  I expect this thread will die once they're able to reunite but until then.................................
