I would be interested in finding out more info(other than what I have read) about using a tens unit and how it aids in orgasms(yes Im fully aware its mostly in the mind) when it comes to male. Hell, women too- I wont discriminate, lol

I've had one used on me, with the little probe thing... Honestly I don't see how it could aid in crap, other than making it feel like my insides were being cut up. I think I'll pass on ever using a tens again.

Hi BLKMADONA ltns Hugs. I tried useing a 10's unit once and it shorted out and I only used 9's Only used it on women never men so can't help you there.

A tens unit was made for supplying small electric stimuli to interrupt pain signals sent by nerves, but it can be tuned up quite high and cause pain. ( I like when mistress uses it on my balls LOL)

I don't have direct experience with TENS units, but I do have experience with EMS units. I believe that these are functionally very similar; if you knowledgeably disagree, please advise.

I don't know that these gadgets work only on the mind. They also work physically, by causing muscles to contract. Muscles in the pelvic floor contract during orgasm. So to aid in orgasm, use electricity to work those muscles.

I like to stick one electrode on the skin right above the tailbone, and one on the perineum. (The reader is left to imagine whose tailbone and whose perineum I might be referring to.) Another favorite combination is one electrode around the sub's cock and one up his ass. Metal or carbon-impregnated silicone sounds make wonderful electrodes, too, but for godssakes know what you're doing if you're going to play that game.

Anyhow, once you get a couple of electrodes set up to cause your victim's (or your own) pelvic floor to contract, set the machine to give a pulse about twice a second, which is roughly the frequency of the contractions that naturally occur during orgasm. The natural contractions will end up synchronizing with the artificially-induced contractions, and the combination GREATLY enhances the strength of the orgasm. GREATLY.

Using a setup like the above also is a lazy person's way to do Kegels, which are beneficial for women and for men. Strong muscles in the pelvic floor lead to stronger orgasms.

Of course, you can also use these things to torture; but the original question was about how they aid orgasm, wasn't it? Actually, to be pleasurable this stimulation has to be started slowly and lightly, and the intensity increased gradually--same way you warm someone up for a caning. If you want it to hurt, you just start out full tilt boogie and enjoy the screams.

The TENS can offer a huge range of sensations, depending on the settings, where on the body it's used, and the type of electrode used... The smaller the contact area, and the higher the frequency (IIRC), the more it will feel like it's cutting. With a larger contact pad and a longer wavelength, it can feel almost like a vibrator. Personally, i find that once i've had a couple minutes to acclimate, it can be turned up higher and higher, generally to the maximum output of the 9V devices, and still be enjoyable, when starting out at that level would have been excruciating (in other words, the usual rules of masochism apply

)

I have used a TENS often. Found that it was useful in P-milking. with the proper anal toy and a tens pad on the "taint" and one on the tail bone...it can provide a very stimulating sensation for male subs.

Also used it with 4 electrodes and no anal toy...2 elctrodes placed above the penis near the pelvic bone and the other two on the inner thighs. Lets just say the effect was unforgetable...lol

While I appreciate what you're trying to do safety-wise, this is a bit of misinformation. The general advisory of "no electricity above the waist" comes from our relative inability to determine what sort of device we're dealing with and how it delivers power. Remember that many of the folks doing BDSM are buying gear off of Ebay, making it at home, or worse yet, modifying an existing unit to do something it didn't do before by means of altering or creating new attachments for it.

That being said, provided the TENS unit is a bipolar delivery unit and with both electrodes in use, using it above the waist is relatively safe in most persons. Physicians PRESCRIBE this device to patients for chronic pain conditions of the neck, shoulders and upper back (as well as other body parts.) Electrode placement is KEY. Placement recommendations do not ascribe to placing thoracic leads where one would be deliberately sending an electrical impulse against, through or with the cardiac system (an example chart is here: http://www.vitality-web.com/backstore/tensplacement.htm.) TENS units also should not be used across one's head :-)

Being a paramedic, I don't like folks playing with electricity around their hearts at all, but these devices CAN be used safety and are on a regular basis by thousands of patients around the globe provided you follow the instructions and advisories on the device packaging.

A side note: E-stim devices are NOT for anyone with implanted electronic devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, drug pumps, etc.), heart problems, heart disease, epilepsy/seizure disorders, brain disorders, or nervous system disorders. Pregnant women and women who might be pregnant should also refrain from using an e-stim device unless under the order of a physician.
