Olive oil is one of the healthiest oils around for most.  If it affects you, just don't use it.

Status: offline 		Olive oil is nothing compared to its origins and stating it is one of the healthiest around is misleading.
The crap you can purchase in most stores, even organic, is not 100% pure.  Any olive oil worth its salt would not be clear, so if you can see through your bottle of olive oil, you don't have 100% olive oil.  It should be stored in a completely cool and dark environment otherwise it becomes toxic because it oxidises in light.
 
The growth of olive and rape seed plays havoc with the environment and is a major cause of health problems for sufferers of asthma, hay fever and other allergies as well as it's impact on farmers.

Status: offline 		Olive oil makes my skin itch unbearably, if I'm cooking with it I have to keep washing it off my hands. A long time ago I tried using it as a lube and oh dear clouds in da heavens that was bad!Almost as bad as Nairing ones genitalia hahahaha. Sheesh. For cooking I like safflower oil, it is very very light with little taste. Unless I'm making a salad dressing or something, I prefer not to taste my oil. If I want to taste it, I use butter usually. Mmmm happy butter comes from happy cows. (no no no please, I am aware that cows are not happy per the norm, just taking that bit from a tv ad)

Status: offline 		I suspect weakly that it may perchance contribute to these diseases, but only if another chronic disease is present that is also stimulated by olive oil. If not, then a cause-effect link between olive oil and such a disease, if indeed present, will have to be determined by the afflicted individual himself for himself.
