Good evening,

I am not entirely sure where to post this one. I watched an incredible scene a couple of weeks ago at The Wood Shed. Amazingly it was the first time I had ever seen any energy work done during a impact scene. It totally impressed me, and completely blew me away. As a Certified Massage Therapist one of the things that has always concerned me is anything that could throw the general energy lines or wells out of kelter. ie, cupping, needle play, fire play, ok hasnt stopped any of the activity, but...

What I am curious of, is there any literature or resources out there concerning this? With my professional background, and only a limited basic understanding, it is hard to translate the practice into the intimate realm. It was the same with general massage as well. So I would greatly appreciate any aid or assistance with this.

not quite sure what you are asking.

are you looking for info on how to use energy in a scene? or are you just looking for info on energy practices...

if the latter just look up alternative book stores or amazon or similar. their should be plenty of information on Reiki and other energy practices. check the psychic and witchcraft sections.

to learn how to use it in scene? well I'm not sure if you are going to find anything specifically dealing with that topic...but focus on any classes that deal with the mental side of BDSM. (ie Mindfucks, and headspace)

I'm still on the fence when it comes to the actually belief in energy practices... but I do believe that at the very least you can convince your sub that they are to hot or to cold or that you are sucking the illness out of their body using cupping tools. etc etc. and that convincing will positively or negatively effect your partner.

well Rieki and energy work I adore doing, always have since my first class. I guess it would appling and manipulating the chi within a scene, and how various play might or might not screw with your chi lines.

Thank you for suggestions Skully. I hadnt thought about trying that route. If you ever get a chance I highly suggest grabbing an attunement from a Reiki Master.
