Oh no guys I'm freaking out!  I have a themed bondage party to go to, we're dressing up as super heros/villains.  I'm gonna be poison ivy but I have these latex gloves that I want to wear but I'm out of polish.  I have no time NOR any idea of where to go out to get any.  Are there any household products I can use?

Thanks

Thank you!  I guess I can go to a grocery store before I go out.

amorall is also a silicone based lube. I have used this myself with positive results.

I wouldn't use armorall unless in an extreme emergency and even then I would be sure to wash it off immediately after returning home. Armorall though mostly silicone does contain some other nasty chemicals that prematurely rot clothing type rubber.

There is a product called liquid latex.  It's great.  Most tame sex shops even carry it.  So, if you have a sex shop within distance I'd recommend that.  If not...do a search for the future.

You may also want to try costume shops for now if you have any.

Anything that is 100% silicon should work.  Use the gel if you can't find a spray at a local art/craft store.

I also wouldn't use liquid latex as a latex polish at all. For quick down and dirty fetish clothing, liquid latex works great, but DON'T use it to polish other latex.

Agreed I am Curious as to how Liquid Latex would even work as a Polish as it is Usually Colored and Usually Primary colors only so I doubt it would match and then Having used liquid Lates MANY TIMES it never looks smooth and shiny once it dries anyway it always looks dull.

I am curious to if maybe there was another brand I was unaware of but all the liquid Latex I have ever used wasn't exactly PRETTY once it dried Certainly not like Latex Clothing anyway.

Liquid Latex as a pervy alternative to 'waxing' hair - Buy Mold Builder brand from a craft store.  It's thick & can be cut with water.  Want it colored?  Add El Cheapo acrylic paint... Apple Barrel, Anita's, Delta... whatever is less than a buck an ounce.

Liquid latex isn't polish.  It's latex in liquid form.  Putting that on your rubber clothing is going to make a mess (or patch a little hole if you had one) NOT make them shine.

I second the 'Stay away from Armorall' motion. I don't even want it near my vehicles. Yes, it makes the interior nice and shiney, but it also seems to dry it out so after a while it'll crack.
That's why it's not allowed in my garage.

I've used baby oil in a pinch and it did a very good job of shining. Just leaves it a bit greasy.
I've heard non-ammonia glass cleaner can also be used in an emergency. Haven't tried that one myself though.

I use Eros Cult or Swiss Navy silicone to polish my rubber.  In a pinch, I use STP Son of a Gun...it has no petroleum distilates like Armor All does.  Armor All will destroy your rubber over time.

FYI, I have used Armorall for 21 years with no problems.  My custom made cat suit still looks, feels and functions like brand new.
