Just out of curiosity, I wonder how many male doms like or live the life style of the lion. You sleep almost all day having food brought to you and sex when you feel like it. All you have to do is be tough enough to keep and protect them when a threat is near by. Any thoughts?

MrDiscipline44 -> RE: Being a Lion (10/18/2005 9:33:03 PM)

Ha, it's a nice thought, but I doubt there are many subs out there that would be the base for such a relationship. But sticking to the question as it was asked: I'm for it. Hell, I doubt there are many Dominants or Masters that wouldn't be and I'm sure there are a few that are living this dream.

OsideGirl -> RE: Being a Lion (10/18/2005 9:49:47 PM)

There's book called Animal in You. It's about matching animal personalities to human personalities. I test out as a Lioness. Strong, smart and a provider that submits to only one. It's a fun book. www.animalinyou.com

One other note about male Lions. They have sex on average of every 8 minutes for 72 hours when the female is in heat. Let me know which one of you guys is the Lion. [;)]

If you are sleeping all day how can you possibly protect them from a threat - especially if it's nearby.

It's the same at night.

No-one stays awake 24hrs a day therefore:

Define protection, able to withstand another doms (less than honerable doms?) attempt to steal her/him/(insert appropriate descriptor here), a SWAT team? Nuclear explosion, earthquake, a riot, lest we forget Arnold (you know the Governator :-) can take out aliens.

Life is a risk no matter what level of the playing field you are on. I'd not suggest anyone laze around.

The Lion King? What and have a group of females try to organise my life? Hell no.. Better to be a Grizzly and take control of your own life and enjoy the long hibernations. [sm=lol.gif]

FangsNfeet -> RE: Being a Lion (10/19/2005 5:35:14 AM)

Just as stated above, the Lioness is strong and provides very well to her Lion. Most dangers can often be fought off by the lioness. When there is something she can't handle ie another male Lion or something else, she just wakes the guy up.

Other than that it's mostly sleeping, eating, and keeping the lioness/lionesses in check. After all, to have sex, the Lion has to have his lionesses in heat. When he tries before or after or just isn't in the mood, he can end up fighting all of them. To help them stay in heat and desire children, the Lion will eat the young cubs whenever there is a chance.

Any how, my post was made to be somewhat comical as well as to see if there are male doms who look at having there sub/subs provide for them while they mostly mope about yet give most of the orders in the house.

frenchpet -> RE: Being a Lion (10/19/2005 5:56:54 AM)

Have you ever seen lions having sex ? It lasts for about... no, it's over...
Besides that when the lion is too tired after 15 penetrations, he lets the females go to other partners, from what I've read.

EmeraldSlave2 -> RE: Being a Lion (10/19/2005 6:18:52 AM)

Associating as an animal is something that occurs in a lot of sub-cultures, especially the gay male culture. Usually it's a strong/wild pack-type, wolves, bears, lions, horses, etc.

Most often in the het female community you see butterflies, cats, bunnies, deer, etc.

My Boston partner has an alternate personality as a ocelot/tiger mix that he often engages in during parties. I've told my NOVA partner that he's a rodent of some sort.

Bears actually, and especially Grizzlies and Polar Bears tend to be loners (as am I) and not pack animals (Grizzlies do gather for the salmon run). I know you didn't say it, but not all Bear people are hairy gay males. Some like me identify with Bears for shamanic or totemic reasons which is my case. My name was given to me by my Lakota Blood brother and his family for private reasons. (I'm also like a Grizzly male just out of hibernation and hungry and pissed off with the world when I arise in the morning and before my three cups of coffee).

perverseangelic -> RE: Being a Lion (10/19/2005 10:27:43 AM)

Simon: Are you alliance?
Early: Am I a lion? Well, I never thought of myself as a lion, but I do have a mighty roar.

Uh...sorry, 's what the title made me think of.

Lordandmaster -> RE: Being a Lion (10/19/2005 10:34:05 AM)

I'm more of an elephant than a lion.

FangsNfeet -> RE: Being a Lion (10/19/2005 10:39:25 AM)

The male elephant, bull, and the lion all have the same thing in common. They are all the Doms over a pack or heard of females demanding service as needed.

Lordandmaster -> RE: Being a Lion (10/19/2005 10:40:53 AM)

Sounds good to me. I get to be the only male, right?

LOL. Touché, oside. But cosidering that the lion has to wait a year before he gets another 72 hours worth of sex while I simply have to just go to the nearest bar to get what I want when I want it, I'd say I'd come out on top, so to speak. I took the test in your post. Wildcat, horse and fox were my choices. My girls think I have the nature of a horse with the wildcat a close second. We can't figure out where the fox come into play though. LOL
