Hillary just won’t quit. The vote is taken at the convention but there is no clear winner. The haggling begins. More votes but still no winner. Tempers begin to rise. Protests outside the convention turn violent and arrests are made. Inside, scuffles break out on the convention floor. Speakers are booed off the podium. Vote after vote produces no winner. Some are making threats of pulling out of the Democratic party and forming a new party. An all out brawl breaks out on the convention floor. Is this the end of the Democratic party?

Then...

In utter frustration...

One delegate cast his vote... for Al Gore.

On the next vote, a few more join in and cast votes for Al Gore. Cheers are heard on the convention floor. Outside, protestors take up the chant, "AL! AL! AL!"

What starts as a trickle soon becomes a flood. Finally, a near unanimous vote!

Hilary and Obama slink away. The lights dim, save for a single spotlight on the podium. A solitary figure steps up (cue Thus Spake Zarathusa) while the throngs burst into rapturous applause.

Let the healing begin.

For the record I don’t know if Democratic Party rules would allow for such a scenario but it would be fun to watch.

Nah, never will happen.  That would make too much sense.

I hear that Hillary is not only leading in the state of West Virginia, but also in the state of denial, too...by a HUGE margin. [8|]

Folks, it ain't the end of the world.  There are 5 or 6 Dems that made it to the White House, after being down in the standings prior to the National Convention.

Bill Clinton was the last one.
