Technically, chocolate, such as the milk chocolate used for candy, melts just below the human body temp of 98.6 F. However, it's VERY easy to overheat the chocolate when you're trying to melt it and so you can really truly burn someone with it. You can actually do the same with wax if you're melting it in a pot on the stove. Chocolate is usually melted in a double boiler, which is basically a metal pan held above a boiling pot of water. I suggest trying this: put a pot of water on the stove and turn it up...but don't boil it. Put the chocolate in a metal container and lay it on top of the pot or float it in the pot. See if it melts. When/if it does, use YOUR finger to test it. If it's ok for your finger, fish out the container and pour a little on the inside of your wrist. If it doesn't burn you in either place, you're good to go. This is how they used to test warm baby formula. Play with it. If you don't burn your finger or wrist, you should be ok with whatever you're doing. Find out if your bottom is allergic first! Master Fire
